I watched the Spurs, not pretty. Wemby was bit shit, motherfucker you are 87 feet tall, use that. you are not a guard. Doncic didn't look much better for most of the game and then finished strong.

Speaking of 3’s, what about Pritchard - went 1-9 on opening night including 8 straight misses. Today goes 5-10.

What about that behind the head pass by Luka to Washington for the corner 3pt. And how much time and space did Klay get because of Luka.

@ACT-Crusader great to see Klay back. Is there a player in the league that is liked by so many people?

He’s the ‘guy next door’. He’s not about that thug life or really showy. But yet has the sweetest looking jumper ever. The fact he and Steph genuinely got along and both loved it when the other succeeded just added to the legend.

            Day 3
C’s for the second consecutive game go up by 30 against their opponent (this time the hapless Wizards) and then go into cruise mode.

Ant Man and Randle had a much better showing. Offence seemed to flow whilst both were getting their shots too. Fox and Sabonis looked to be adjusting to how DeRozan plays. Murray was on fire. Good game.

Klay and that pure jumper came to play.

Denver has no bench and will struggle unless they make some moves.

              Day 4
Warrrioorrrs come out and plaaaaaay. Buddy has filled the 3pt void. In fact I’m liking the Dubs bench.

Raptors, Knicks, Rockets and Bulls notch up their first wins. The Bulls win probably the most impressive. The 3 guard play from LaVine, White and Giddey really troubled the Bucks defence.

Lakers get another good win against a tough Suns team. AD playing the part. First Laker since Kobe in 2005 to have 30+ points in the first 2 games of the season.

The funnest, no defence played game of the night goes to the Hawks and Hornets.

First big name injury for the season with Dejounte Murray going to be out for 6-8 weeks. That’s a tough one for the Pelicans given the hype around his signing.

yes it is too early to really make any bold claims.

But the Spurs stink and Wemby is playing crap. boooo.

Look at the league records. The East has 2 good teams and a bunch at .500
The West is a shitfight of winning records.

Lots of Superstars playing well early in the year. Jokic is miles in front as the best player in the world, currently averaging a triple double.
Three players averaging 30 or more points.

Could be worse, they aren’t the Blazers. And I’m convinced the Jazz are playing for the lottery already.

Jokic is putting up silly numbers this season.

                      alt text

1st in rebounds, 1st in assists and 4th in points.

OKC going with the smallest starting lineup in a long long time. Even smaller than when the Dubs started Draymond at centre.

                        OKC had:
6’5 Jalen Williams start at centre
Dort 6’4 and Wiggins 6’5 at forward
SGA 6’6 and Isaiah Joe 6’3 in the backcourt.

They got the big scoring win against the Clippers. SGA has been far more aggressive on his 3 ball this season than the last 2. Averaging about 6 attempts per.

Now that was a fun game - Warriors v Mavs, Steph vs Klay. Tribute to Klay to kick off proceedings and all the fans wearing Klay captain hats. Plenty of emotion before and during the game.

Went down to the wire with Steph having to go Olympic mode in the 4th. Klay hit six 3s himself and there were some cheers from the Duns crowd when he hit some of them too!

Warriors have good depth and they are playing as a team with Kerr trusting his bench going 11 deep in most games.

Boys, I honestly don’t know how you can get excited about NBA regular season

It’s a complete farce, it’s barely watchable stuff.

I love bball as much as any of you guys, and it pains me that I can’t get interested until the playoffs start

because the fuck else is there? cricket hasn't started. there's barely any footy. NFL is not often enough.

I wouldn't say i am excited. And i know nothing really matters until after the All Star break. But it is still elite sport, and some lads are sticking up huge numbers.

@voodoo definitely get that, but I’m a tragic and still love it. It’s the games within the game that I like. The games yesterday had a bit more feeling with the NBA cup starting.

That Hawks win against the Celtics was a fun watch too. Aussie Dyson Daniels is one of the best defensive guards in the league and he had a night out on the other end. Plus I love seeing Boston lose these days.

Then Spols doing a C Webb and calling a ghost timeout and losing the Heat the game at the very death. Crazy.

The NBA Cup is a success i reckon. For all these dudes have too much money, and too little motivation, wave a trophy in front of them and they fucking go for it.

Also, do you reckon there are a heap of NBA teams and players just waiting for LBJ, KD and Steph to finally fuck off? 40, 37 and 36 and they are still dominant forces in the league, and the best players on their team. It should not be happening, and yet here we are.

@voodoo love the Lebron jab because it’s true!

I don’t think it’s overused. It was an intense game against the reigning WCF champs, who everyone has said got stronger by adding a splash bro. Given the 4th quarter Steph was having it deserved it.

What I find cringy is when some random from the Sydney Kings or some dude in the China or Philippines leagues do it.
