@Virgil Another vote for "loved that as a kid".
    Rooobin..... the hooded man!

I had that soundtrack on LP, must have played it until the needle wore through it
Even listening to it now some moments give you chills

The show wasn’t as great when Michael Praed left. Its cancellation was a shock at the time. Apparently cost was the main factor, at the time it was one of if not the most expensive show being filmed at the time

Yeah I remember the fight scenes, costumes etc being pretty good for the time.

Not Game of Thrones as you say but bloody entertaining.

That magical bad guy scared me, what was his name ?

@MN5 I can't remember any magical bad guy - but remember the druid guy - Herne the Hunter - creeped me out a bit.
Looking at wikipedia - you might be referring to Baron Simon de Belleme, or Gulnar ?
Turns out Gulnar - pagan sorceror - kiwi-ish. Tauranga Boys.

Simon what’s his name was the bad guy at the start, series 1
Gulnar from series 3 (when blondie James Bonds kid was Robin)

The series was great with the mystic side with sorcery etc

    Twisted Metal

Cool stunts, cartoonish violence and total over the top bullshit.

Great fun switching the brain off and enjoying the ride.

    Sweet Tooth is awesome.

Started watching this last night. Entertaining and well paced. Great show if you just want to sit back and watch some gratuitous violence dispersed with humour.

    Just finished S1 of Cheers.

Really enjoying it, I think it would actually be ok in the current woke society.

Axel looks to be a fun character.

    Wednesday Series 2.

Excellent black comedy with some deliciously dark moment. Great fun spotting the big stars - Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Christina Ricci, Thandiwe Newton etc. Loads of Tim Burton in-jokes as well.

    Humour in a jugular vein.

    Smoke (TV Series 2025– ) ⭐ 6.7 | Crime, Drama, Mystery

    Smoke (TV Series 2025– ) ⭐ 6.7 | Crime, Drama, Mystery

    50m | TV-MA

8 great episodes with a frankly preposterous and disappointing finale

    A real shame

    Magnum, P.I. - Wikipedia

In 1992, three years after the conclusion of Magnum, a script was written for a potential crossover with Donald P. Bellisario's next show, NBC's Quantum Leap, in which Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) would "leap" into the body of Thomas Magnum. It is unknown whether any original cast members from Magnum were slated to appear in the episode or how far production had progressed, though test footage does exist of the attempted recreation of Tom Selleck's famous fourth-wall breaking "eyebrow" shot from the opening credits with Bakula in the role.[citation needed]

Finished and enjoyed it, yes after such a great cat and mouse build up we do get a very soft almost like a cop out landing, but not enough to ruin the series. Still good, but agree a decent finale would have had everyone talking about this

I watched the first episode of King & Conqueror, a dramatised story of the clash between Harold Godwinson and William the Bastard that led to the Battle of Hastings.

This has been preceded with a lot of hype and what have you, so it was no surprise to see plenty of historical inaccuracies in both the story itself and the costumes, buildings, towns etc. What was not anticipated though was the disjointed production, the inept dialogue and the gloomy camerawork.

Hopefully the story telling will improve once they have set up the historically inaccurate premise and they can get on with telling a more interesting story, so perhaps I will persevere a little longer.

This is a story that has been surprisingly ingnored for something of such importance, so I was really looking forward to it.

    We shall see.

@Catogrande I saw one gripe that "your majesty" didn't exist until 5 centuries later?

@Bones Lots of stuff like that. It's really annoying when something so easily got right is got so very wrong. The writing so far has been really piss-poor.

    @Catogrande

If any of the reviews are anything to go by, the reviews are more entertaining than the show itself.....

"A poor emulation of EastEnders set 950 years ago"

"Looks to have been filmed during an energy crisis"

I had another go at King & Conker and suffered through episode 2. It really is just shite.
