Being mates off the field is fine. Parading it on social media after a record flogging is not.

That’s like a day or two after the flogging , allblacks put up a feel good post on Insta about the Barrett brothers have now apparently played 300 games between them .

Like we give a fuck at the moment .

Especially when about a hundred of them aren’t really deserved

It's performative and lacking any authenticity. It feels like these guys - players and coaches - often say things because they think that's something that sounds like what needs to be said.

Don't think it lacks authenticity . Kolisi & Savea have regularly posted about their close friendship with each other and their families for years. It's just who they both are.

No excuse for that Caketin performance, mind.

I am sure their friendship is authentic - but that is not what I was talking about.

Some good insights from Eddie Jones and Ewan McKenzie on where we are going wrong.

Interesting analysis from people who dont have skin in the NZ game.

"Barrett seems loathe to take the ball as a first receiver".

"the ball out the back in phase play is going to static players".

This is the absolute worst part of any of our attacking play. Ball is constantly distributed to deep players standing still, even when it goes 2 or 3 out. What what why? Where are the players in motion? It's about the worst way to beat most defences and especially the rush.

It's almost as if they are inviting the tackle to tie in opposition players and open up space behind the defence which can be exploited by a chip kick.

    Oh, hang on...

Relying on that superior fitness to be able to run twice as far as any other team. We do broncos, so...

Lack of respect for the gain line . . . IN A TEST MATCH AGAINST THE SPRINGBOKS IN 2025!!!!
    What do we call that?
Must be arrogance, or naievity, or is it stupidity?

Stuck in a time warp; tryin to get away with playing like they did ten years ago.
When all the other teams have made the correct adjustments in the meantime.

I don't see how that's relevant to why the defence was so shite, why the playmakers couldnt make shite, and the lineout fell apart.

Scott Hansen is not rated by many of the players, and his communication is poor.

Fuckin called it from the 1st time I saw him interviewed.
Being a guy that falls for the hype quite often, the fact that even I thought he came across as a cock is quite telling.

I don't care anymore. Two years of the media blowing Razor, culminating in our worst loss ever. No discernible progress and a seeming drop in our core skills. The problem with the team is much like NZ itself, woke and insular with a distinct lack of brainpower and mongrel in the coaching group, players and even media. It's a giant PR exercise with everyone sucking each other off.

    @Frank My feelings are similar.

I'll catch up with the highlights of the Bledisloe Cup game afterward, but I am not going to waste any real time or energy with the All Blacks this week. I feel utterly betrayed by the pathetic ragbag they've become. They are All Blacks in name only as far as I'm concerned.

I'd obviously still prefer the ABs to win, but I won't be too bothered if we lose the Eden Park record or even the Bledisloe Cup. It will hasten the demise of those clearly not up to the job in terms of brains and ruthlessness.

Our Captain, First Five, Head Coach, his Assistants and our CEO all need to go and the sooner the better.

    Absolutely.
There's no redeeming this team until the coaching group and certain senior players are gone.

@mariner4life I’ll never forget that call. Good ol Mario from Doncaster. There are a few funny regular callers on Melbs sports talkback.

That massive 100+ point loss to the Swans was the year before the Tigers won the flag. It can turnaround….

Holy fuck. Apparently I should be an international coach since I keep pointing out this shit.

And to make things worse, the self-appointed hard men and the self-appointed funny men of the internet don't like some of us saying what we think on here.

Peace and love, everyone. Enjoy Bledisloe week and see you on the other side.

I felt a bit like this after 2007…..then the ABs were good enough to win a couple of WCs in a row which helped matters. Foster did his darndest in 2023, let’s see how the much maligned Razor goes in 2027 ( given its 100% guaranteed he’ll be there )
