All Blacks vs Wallabies Bledisloe II

I guess SB, Vaai is our 'premier' locking combo, Tuipulotu is quality too so needs to be there, Holland is surplus.
As to the loosies...it's a big man's game...

Ioane on the bench sits better with me than ALB, he may show some vigor especially if he gets on to replace proctor
He may never get on then….

@Kirwan Cry more. Great for Lakai and LF to get a shot to prove themselves. Will is a world-class Fullback, are we seriously judging him based on the 1-2 rusty games he had against the Pumas/Boks
Martin Guptill could count the number of world class players in this team on his bad foot and Will Jordan at fullback wouldn’t be one of them. He might have potential to get there but this coaching setup makes players worse, not better. If he’s still around in 2028, we’ll see how he gets on.

@Kirwan ”Expecting more” but you’re complaining about someone that isn’t even apart of the problem this team has right now
This team has problems across the park, and Jordan is very much part of the problem in the back three. He's never going to be great under the high ball or on defense, but at least on the wing we minimise those weaknesses while still making the most of his attacking threat ball in hand. I can't for the life of me understand why we'd move him.

22 JOC
23 FlookThis may go unnoticed by the in-fighting around AB selection. From what I've seen - most Ferners/NZers will start watching the game with zero knowledge of who "we"'re playing against... but all manner of outrage around our team.
I'd like to make an informed comment on that team but... I'm frankly no better. -

Parker is bigger than when Kaino became a fixture in the ABs from post 05, so I have hopes with him. He has good size for even the modern day blindsides.
Lakai is on the shorter side for a modern day flanker around 6’1 maybe 6’2 at best. A skilled player, but he will be tested.
-
@ACT-Crusader if Parker was a bit more dynamic with ball in hand he could be at 8 and Vaai to 6, that'd be a good loose trio with any of Savea, Lakai or Kirifi at 7.

Rieko is back, on the bench?
Presume that is because of utility value rather than form. I think the change they need to make is the backline coach. Playing a 2nd at centre is risky. Hope he goes well but smacks of desperation rather than a plan.

He might have to change super rugby teams if he wants to get his hands on the ball more often, with all the other glory ball forwards in that Chiefs pack.
-
I'd swap Savea and Lakai around, see what Lakai can bring to the table as a 7 as Savea the seagull certainly ain't one.
-
@taniwharugby Too bad Parker will always move like a Snail

I'd like to make an informed comment on that team but... I'm frankly no better.Cobber is giving the young fella a start at flyhalf and gone back to an experienced hand to start at scrum half with the other young fella who played most of the match last week, remaining as the reserve scrum half. No change to the inside centre and outside centre combination.
A forced change on the left wing with the other outside backs the same.
-
@ACT-Crusader pretty brutal looking forward pack both starting and bench.

Who both play at the Waratahs, it should be noted. Maybe that's a cohesion thing?

What’s the alternative? Proctor has been poor so he appropriately gets dropped. Tupaea is the next cab off the rank but J Barrett is probably the second best player in this team and it’s not really an option to drop him. Tupaea has played 13 plenty of times and Ioane is there to cover if it turns to shit. I’m not sure what the alternative is given we don’t have another 13 in NZ that’s any good
