Just learned a fact that astonished me.

Listening to Jamie Wall talking to Devlin and in the introduction he made mention of the fact that the Wallabies haven't beaten the All Blacks since 2020! Looked it up and it's TEN straight wins to the ABs. (And as an aside I was at that game in Brissy.)

Further to Wall's comment about how many of the current squad would have experienced a loss to Aussie, there were 8 of tonight's XXIII and 12 of the current squad in that XXIII.

    Taylor
    Barrett
    Ardie
    BB
    RI
    ALB
    Reece
    Jordie
    Lomax
    Vaa'i
    DMac
    Jordan

You might want to include Aumua who you would expect would be in the squad but for injury. And Ofa maybe.

Edit: Paddy T in the squad that lost in 2019. A few othee repeat offenders in 2019 as well, and two as far back as 2015 (Taylor and BB).

I'm not sure what that says about player development...

    So they are due then…

I am over in Perth for work this week and next, heading along tonight. Hope the win one lose one cycle is broken.

    @Unite overdue.

Apparently they go at a win every four-and-half tests. Have checked that stat.

Streak dates back to Ewen McKenzie.
    His last test IIRC.

There's prematch banter and there's cruelly sadistic taunting.

I would of course, but Razor keeps overlooking me. Perhaps his forelock is blocking his vision.

ABs have a huge advantage over Australia in the halves. Surely they can't fuck it up?

Easy. That's me tying my shoelaces after some decent dark ales.

    Is Bell injured or dropped?

Resting a rib injury I'm told

He is like what people who purely watch YT schoolboy hightlights think Taniela Tupou is. Such a good player

We do, but advantage them in the loose forwards and combinations in the 3/4 line - and we have some obvious areas to target. Both teams likely to attack better than they defend. I'm actually looking forward to it, as the Aussies have been good to watch and our backs have a chance at getting running ball for a change.

Chance of wet conditions, then easing up later, might put a dampener on running rugby.
