    DMac shades BB at 10.
Must stick with DMac on EOYT.

I would beg to disagree - DMac is a very, very average intl 10 who is easily shut down. BB (field kicking aside) is a better option still, though it pains me to say it.

I don't know why our MF looked better than it has all season. But I'd like to see if DMac was part of the answer to that question

Individually Jordie and QT had amazing games in difficult conditions. I’m not sure I saw a whole lot of smooth back play there.

Well finished but that scoreline flatters you

Considering we left 9 points on the field with horrible kicking, not really.

20 mins against 14 men and they butchered 10 pts

    Congratulations on the moral victory.

When Boks pile on points at the end that blow the score out, it is called ruthlessness 😉.

The final try was deserved for playing the ball in the right part of the field, keeping the foot on the throat and applying pressure. It should have been scored 5 mins earlier with the lineout and midfield scrum opportunities, but it came in the end.

Oz were competitive, but rarely gained enough momentum in the second half (through handling mistakes, penalties or insufficient gainline penetration) to apply real pressure.

Was the score a little harsh? Sure. That’s sport. Wallabies didn’t deserve to win tonight.

How many times you reckon Beuden would have kicked the ball away today?

Our backline has looked the best it has all year the last 2 games.

The first games all year we haven't had Beauden at 10.

Dmac wasn't amazing tonight but it's night and day the performance we get out of our backs when he is playing as opposed to Beauden.

It was pissing down with rain and Jordie was running off his shoulder like a league player against an increasingly dysfunctional Australian defence. The northern teams would eat DMac alive at 10.

Why would they?? He literally destroyed them last EOYT.

Dmac is 5-0 against Ireland/France/England starting at 10.

Pleasing stat, last 10 minutes we had 92% possession. We made fewer errors. Also helped that McReight was off the field too…..

Given many predicted an AB loss tonight, a win (and back to back wins for first time in the RC) was a step in the right direction. Oz were up for it and conditions were foul, but ABs did enough to warrant a win. It wasn’t a fluke.

I'm pretty sure NZ didn't score any of their points during those 20 mins.

This was a very dominant win, Australia never looked like winning.

We deserved a whinge and a smirk tonight.
But NTA was the one who got lucky.

Best AB performance of the year, arguably. They showed unusual composure and discipline. They varied their game and their defence was much improved. I thought the Jordie-Quinn centre combination was a significant step-up from what we have seen to date and the bench finally made an impact. Nothing brilliant, but given the atrocious conditions they were remarkably accurate. Only DMac’s early misses on what looked like a couple of relatively easy place-kicks let them down. The Wallabies’ backline fluency is a joy to watch but their discipline was poor, reflecting no doubt the pressure the ABs put them under. Praying for Jordan’s knee.

Passage in the first half was very good, but there was a lot of catching the ball flat footed and for me it looked a little disjointed with too many players around the ball.

    Tough conditions.

Winning twice in a row. That's a capuchin off the back.

I must be odd one out. Scott Barrett is still one of my first choice forwards. Love the way he carries, hits hard in tackles and rucks. Good that we have 4 locks now that are playing well but he is not going to be dropped anytime soon.

The five eighths passed to him more in first 20 than they did to Proctor in whole 80!

Impossible. DMac was complete crap tonight, we were told (I wasn't at all impressed with most of his kicking TBF).

He puts the shoulder in and always draws two opponents. Lacked a little accuracy at least 3 rucks I recall where he could’ve been better.
