Wardley is the new Wilder. Can be down plenty on the cards but packs a punch, as we saw against Huni last time out and his KO of Frazer Clarke was something else. Can't believe Clarke is still fighting after that.

Parker will have to stay disciplined for 12 and not trade with Wardley. Either a Parker UD or Wardley KO I feel.

    Huge power. VERY heavy handed.

it could be a potential banana skin fight , but so was Wilder, Zhang and Bakole , and its because Joe did fight those guys and won he has a new found respect in the boxing world and people have been pushing his case

its a risk worth taking IMO , he simply needs to get back in the ring and keep the train rolling, , its been too long , and he allegedly gets usyk if he wins as well which is the ultimate prize fight he has been chasing

My favourite NZ sportsman. Ardie Savea and Glenn Phillips have fallen away of late.

I know quite a number of people who’ve met him and they all say EXACTLY the same. Hell of a nice, humble fella. Great sense of humour. Confident without arrogant as this clip shows.

Hell of a fighter too ( none have been punched by him to be fair )

Yeah he is much thicker now ,he is a good 10 kgs heavier than the earlier fighter that first won the title and fought Joshua, expecting to weigh in around the117 kg mark for this fight .

That is sizeable, even on a 1.93m frame.

I'm sure the trainers have it under control but hopefully that extra bulk doesn't make him gas quicker.

It’s been gradual rather than overnight since he hooked up with Lee and Lockhart.

Under Barry he tended to fight off the back foot a lot more , under Lee there is more of the kronk style , controlling centre ring and planting the front foot to unleash his shots .

So it’s all part of a plan to be more assertive.

It looks like useful muscle mass to me, this fight could be very interesting.
But I really don't want to see Parker face Usyk.

The size is one thing but the major plus with having Lockhart seems to be the science and structure to his conditioning.
Parker has alluded to when with Barry he over trained in camp due to himself coming into camp unfit and overweight then being thrashed to exhaustion before getting into the ring and discovering he had low energy.
Lockhart seems to have addressed this and Lee has Parker doing a lot of feints and switching levels which aren't as draining as continuously punching but distract and confuse the opponent enough then parker lands some nice combos to bank the rounds.
Sitting down on punches is the kronk style and I have noticed Parker throws as many lead rights as he does jab which again is making the opponent over think and tire and that is what I think he will do with Wardley...
I will be shocked if Parker loses this but hey shocks and upsets are part of boxing
