Wales v All Blacks

@Bones A bit harsh. He wasn't the only back to go missing on that night in Paris.
I haven't watched that one back but I thought the big problem was Richie Mo'unga and Jordie Barrett misfiring under big pressure from the Saffa loose forwards.
His try-scoring record in Tests on the Right Wing is not bad.

@sparky he is too lazy to be a good centre
His play for the crusaders this year was a massive improvement, he's since gone backwards at a fast rate. There is hope, but maybe McCaw should have singled out him rather than Parker.

WJ is a right wing. And a world class one.
If he actually shows that in big games and pressure moments, I'm on board. RWC final begs to differ.
You could argue that we wouldn't have been in that final without WJ's efforts against Ireland.

Anyone else get a free pass for shitting the bed in the final because they did their job in the quarter? Did Frizzel go ok?

@Bones Given the terrible state the All Blacks are in at the moment, I'd settle for a team that loses the World Cup Final by one point after a controversial refereeing performance.
We are nowhere near that quality now.
I've never seen goalposts travel at such speed. Whooshka

From the article.
"“It’s challenging when you’ve got a world-class fullback like Will Jordan, and the balance of selection when you’re going for a Grand Slam. "
Bugger me. Will J is a world-class wing. He's a severely limited 15.
That stance was a lot less popular probably even up until halfway through this year. At the start of the year you would have been in a very small minority if you said that.
I’m having Waldorf and Statler flashbacks.

They've changed a bit since the Muppets.

@DaGrubster and again it was just announcement. He still had a day job of coaching the Crusaders. So not much going on during March to June on an AB front.
Then the ABs are playing mid-year games and then prepping for the RWC. He’s watching those.
So after the dust settles of the RWC and player exoduses, retirements, he’s watching Super rugby and getting an idea of who might be in the frame etc. no different from other newly appointed coaches such as Henry who were appointed post a RWC.
I’m all for critiquing the actual performance of that first test but just because there was some early announcement didn’t afford him all this additional time to do what was needed especially with the RWC.
There is nothing stopping him working for the role the same on the same day if he wanted to.

My strong hunch is the WJ played in final with shoulder which required surgery and thus was considerably impeded.

@Bones The point is that picked in the right position and in a decent side, Will Jordan can go okay at the Test level.
Will Jordan is 4 tries shy of being the top try scoring Allblack of all time. Aged 27.
Why are we talking about him like he is bin juice?
