Just going back a few hundred posts am not sure we ever sorted out who the hell Sam Casey is.
I understand he is some sort of journalist. Who does he work for? Where were his rumours shared? Is it on line? Is there a link?
@george33 or anyone else any assistance would be appreciated.

Brief overview of the history of Sam Casey.
Casey started out his public career with a Facebook page called Dunedin Club rugby. He wrote pieces on fhe happenings down there. The characters etc.
Then got a bit of a side gig witn the Landers during 2014 - 2016 doing Phil Gould like match previews.
Landed himself a gig with NZME producing the Farming Show/Country.
Was the lad who was pissed up with Jordie Barrett in Dunedin when they ate maccas at 4 AM in the wrong flat and scared the shit out of some female students who lived there.
Was really growing his rugby contacts throuought the period. Especially as he was their age and connected well with players.
Got poached by SENZ off NZME. Just before he started with SENZ he penned a column basically saying NZR spent way too much money on women's rugby and it brings in nothing. This was around Covid times. Alice Soper and others of her ilk came after him big time. Then boom. His media career was stopped in his tracks. That was about 2020 or 2021.
Then last year he popped back in the job he was meant to have gotten at that time. Seems his contacts and confidence remain as they were prior to getting a swipe around the ears for saying the quiet thing outloud.
Basically, well enough connected, very vocal, sometimes right, sometimes wrong.

Joseph definitely not a huggy.brown and razor will cost them; but maybe not the rest so much.
I find JJ somewhat hard to judge, as experience seems to me to have been more in taking lesser teams to play above themselves.....
some would say thats what the AB's need at the moment
I assume the Highlanders will get razor in return for fucking our season?

Can NZR afford to sack these guys and pay them out, that is assuming NZR didnt put some tight KPIs in the contract allowing for a parting of ways, that I am sceptical of given how keen they were to get him there in the 1st place.
I mean, in 'lala land' this coaching team see the damage to the brand, knowing they aint quite upto it and choose to leave of thier own accord, but I dont see that happening given we dont live in lala land, well, outside this forum
Colour me sceptical we will see any real change.

I said I have heard a rumour he has gone i havn't been able to confirm that, so it is just another rumour.
The stuff about Mark Anthony for one just isn't true he had been talking to Brighton months ago signed that contract in December,Didn't want to announce it until after the review was finished as it cleaned uphis last work for NZR.
So all this stuff being said is speculation and some of it is not true.
About what you said George I havn't heard it,so I can not say wether it is true or not.
But I think it may not that is not bagging you, you post what you hear great for everyone mate. -

It is a mess, players in different camps a dislike of Hanson,I have no problems if they sack the coaches you stand by your work.
But there is a couple of players running the show and that is not a good enviroment either.
New coaching staff must come with new players as well or the mess will carry on no matter who the coaches are. -

One player has the reigns the other hates Hanson who has a lot of power in the group.

So whatever the outcome, at least one big change will happen before the start of the season, be that Hansen goes, Hansen/Razor/Ryan all go, Savea goes from what I can piece together from all these rumours?
It sounds like it could be a worse outcome if everyone stays from everything that has been thrown around.

Well from what I reading, whoever is leaking all this stuff should probably go too. lol
Whatever is actually true or false, whether it players, coaches etc etc, something needs to be sorted. Not sure I have heard so much rubbish with any other Coaching group, and I not even blaming them, just this seems incredibly divisive to me. -
