One News now reporting Razor to piss off
-
Tony Brown is the key for me. If we can get him back then I am comfortable pulling the trigger. Otherwise it seems like a bold call to move on from Razor. But, the review must be scathing.
-
I still feel for Razor, all the dreams and aspirations of being an AB's head coach, get the gig, only for it to backfire horribly and be fired. That has to be tough on any human. Given Foster and now Razor the AB's head coaching gig is starting to turn into the same thing we saw at the Wallabies.

One News now reporting Razor to piss off
The New Zealand Rugby Union are expected to confirm today that All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson has been fired two years into his four-year contract.
1News understands a review into the 2025 season has been scathing of Robertson’s coaching and leadership, with NZR chairman David Kirk deciding to pull the pin on Robertson.
The recent review was undertaken by Kirk, NZR board member and former test hooker Keven Mealamu and former NZR high performance manager Don Tricker.
Player unrest has been building even from the end of 2024, Robertson’s first year in charge.
Under Robertson the team has registered 20 wins from 27 matches, a 74% success rate, but that’s been mixed in with some shock and heavy defeats and also, to many observers, a lack of improvement or change.
1News understands many players believed Robertson had “lost the dressing room”.
Robertson had a long run of success with the Crusaders in Super Rugby, but that hasn’t been translated into the more pressurised and cut-throat world of Test football.
All Blacks assistant coach Scott Hansen is also expected to leave his role. It’s unclear if forwards coach Jason Ryan will remain.
Current Highlanders coach Jamie Joseph is the clear front-runner to take over the All Blacks role.

I'm not trying to say that the players are completely right in this situation, but, in amy sport, if you lose the dressing room, there's no real point in carrying on for guys who don't want to play for you.
Whatever people's thoughts on Foster are, one thing he did have was the dressing room's backing.

if Razor is gone sacked on player power. The next coach has a hell of a job as he will be run by the Senior players
That is a disaster the tail wagging the dog has never worked what happens if the players dont like the next coach.
Looks like the players are going to coach themselves and are untouchable, selections become a closed shop on their say so no mates getting dropped at any time.Certain players will be bigger than the game that should never happen.
Player Power brings a lot of teams down and they never come back.
If certain players are not sent packing with the coaches NZR are on a dog lead on certain players whims. -

Ardie better win as a World Cup, then.
And yeah, if the players have gotten their wish, they themselves better perform.
The French test in Chch could be interesting now from a PR point of view.

me too and willalways wonder how much was him and how much was people not liking him wantsing to change things or how much was NZR not allowing him to do things he wanted too...but oen way or the other he doesnt seem to be able to work withing the confines of the role so needs to go

@ChiefsMana I cannot see how Razor stays with so many players unhappy.
Someone mentioned 7 senior players. That's almost half the team

If i'm honest i'm pleased that there's people in ABs that care enough to deliver honest feedback and at NZR that are bold enough to pull the trigger.
Even in Fozzie's darkest hour he had the dressing room.
This was a clownshow that has been exposed and rightly moved on
