Either same oil or (more likely) stolen straight from here, unless that's @handa457's account.

It's all happening lots flying around apparently meetings have taken place over last couple months.

Okay, second update. I’m hearing that Ryan is on probation, Hansen has been fired, and NZRU is approaching Schmidt, Smithy, and Tony Brown to assist. My source isn’t clear on what the story is with Razor (my assumption is he's gone as per reporting but I haven't explicitly been told that) except that apparently he’s absolutely seething and refusing to go down without a fight.

Only got that as a text message so will update when I get more info.

if he's seething and on probation and it is well known the support staff and many senior players weren't happy (at least about his main man and possibily/probably him as well) that can't make for a great immediate future working environment!

Yup. He'll only be an impediment to us unless he can get over it. Fair play if he can't, but then he should be gone as well

Been said earlier in the thread, but well played with sharing the oil!
Some others too who joined in (@handa457 and @Landers92 and @Chris and who am I missing?), brilliant work to you all for just kindly sharing what you've heard.

Big shout out to @Nogusta that the oil on Papalii that has finally been confirmed

Not a problem. I’m a bit restricted with what I can say as if I name drop etc(especially my post the other day about curfew breaking)things could get ugly and then sources could get in the shit.

Hearing a lot of different information frim multiple people yesterday and today and some of it is clashing/different information so I won’t share it unless there’s a high chance it’s true.

I can say this, but it isn’t really groundbreaking news now. There’s more than 1 or 2 players who don’t like Hansen, it’s the majority. There is still a divide in this playing group which is split into 3 group, Islanders - Crusaders - the rest.

The double standards were the final straw for a lot of the squad. The toxic stuff has been going on since the French series.

Some of you may remember when I dropped the Leon McDonald stuff, got questioned on it then a couple months later he asked to leave. Things have only been getting worse since then.

As AB fans it’s concerning but changing this coaching group is the best thing that could happen right now. The players need someone who they respect and a coach that will hold them accountable. The team has lost its way and we are running out of time before the 2027 World Cup. Here’s hoping we get back on track and fast.

What is Six Nations champion Wayne Pivac up to? Coaching an Auckland club rugby team?

The new man has a job on his hands. He's gonna need some big balls if he doesn't agree that some of the senior players deserve to play or even be there. But as long as he's up front honest and rational that's all you can do. And not be hamstrung by any off field constraints

So I will admit he totally pulled the wool over my eyes. I was expecting change and innovation when Razor was appointed.
Instead we got a motivational speaker who turned the team into a unmotivated unhappy team.
Terrible player management and selections. No clear plans at all.
Can't wait for change, anyone can do better than what we have had for the last 2 years. Just glad we finally have upper management not afraid to make the tough calls, if that is indeed what has happened.

Just a shame that The Breakdown isn't on air at the moment to really dig into the issues...

Still wondering how much was the Hansen factor and whether Razor saying Hansen was doing the coaching was a major strategic f-up.

You would assume that with some new NZRU management they might be able to get some of the previous guys in there, Schmidt makes the most sense alongside Smith.

When you look at the change from Foz > Razor, they changed almost everyone across management as well, so there was no continuity in procedure. That was a red flag at the time raised by some here and is likely one contributing factor.

It also just sounds like there is playing favourites, which means we'd gone right back to the Mitchell days. That's a terrible way to go about things, so I'm not sure we should be too carried away with player power when they may be just as likely trying to restore some structure and consistency to the procedures that they had enjoyed under previous regimes at this level (which these coaches and the managment have no experience with).

I agree. I don't think it's personal, its the senior players voicing concerns that systems are not right

Publicly bad mouthing some players while ignoring deficiencies in others probably doesn't help foster unity either... Honest question, how many players in our current squad "play both sides of the ball?"
