@canefan Ryan would need to have next to no selection input if he did, plus, have to assume he was part of whatever the issue was with doing a 180 on Dalton last year??

Not sure he can remain untarnished.

Can't see how Ryan can remain with so many players alienated by him.

    I'd sweep. He's not irreplaceable

A few extra bits of info.

    1. Rennie is supposedly back in the country. Unsure in what capacity. But was seen at the airport in the last few days. Can’t verify that one from a second source however so take with a grain of salt.
    2. Hearing some scathing feedback from former staff member on Razor and his inability to manage tensions with players. Won’t share everything but the general vibe is this was entirely avoidable if he’d been willing to listen to concerns that players were bringing to him.
    3. Some big issues with his relationship with the islanders on the team. Sounds like maybe Savea and Papalii were actually trying to help / manage things when cracks started to show in 2024 and cutting Papalii who was a bit of a mediator meant tensions got raised even further.

exactly, i think fozzie should probably have done the same earlier, the team culture might not have been as bad as now but it was clear he was out of ideas

I just think that the likes of Fozzie got gun-shy after the previous decade of success.

They had shared too many beers and too many battles with Beaudy, TJP, Cane et al. Brothers in arms.

They couldnt make the hard calls when the time came.

You cant have an over the hill game driver having so much influence on the team. Its one thing to carry a geriatric hooker or prop in a squad but your 10? Come on.

Even the New England Patriots parted with Tom Brady in the end (and he went on to win another Super Bowl elsewhere) , the Bulls with Jordan, Man United with Roy Keane. It's never easy but the show must go on.

Razor and Fozzie made difficult jobs far harder than they needed to be.

Razor in particular has made a complete mess of his chance.
