I hope we see selection changes and a gameplan out of this.
Imagine if we see the same selections and the same problems.

im preparing myself for that, if we see bb doing a cross field kick to savea inside our own 22 again i will have to believe it wasnt the coach

Yet last night was the first time I’ve heard him admit that things are “not good” and “quite a shambles” in the camp. He specifically highlighted high performance as a “real problem”. Now bear in mind, it’s not much. But to me, the fact that someone I’ve known for years, who’s well connected to staff, is breaking ranks to admit there are problems is significant. Even in the darkest days of Foster, that never happened. In fact, he refused to comment during the period when Foster’s job was on the line. To me, that suggests the issue is much deeper than just the players.

    Haha

I'm a million miles from the "camp" and can see that HP is not good/shambles/problem.
All the black teams are crap.

To be in the middle of it like your mate . . . uuugh.

Beauden Barrett is Harold Shipman for Allblack coaches. He gets them all in the end.

The siren song of those double pumps and cross field kicks is the downfall of many a good man.

I have been walking around with a spring in my step today. Mrs Crazy is in for one hell of a treat when she gets home.

The best thing about today is that I can now rest safe in the knowledge that I know my rugby.

All my ranting and raving was spot on , and it just took the chattering classes and officialdom a while to catch up.

Gutted for Razor personally, but sounds like the right call based on the feedback. Will be some interesting international phone calls going on right now.

Interesting comment by Sam Casey on SENZ: the constant talk by Robertson about overseas based players really pissed off the squad.

Good fucking job too, that was a moronic and stupid thing to say and he was rightly getting bagged on here by a few for it.

    Remember this embarassing shit?

This was cringy and embarrassing to start with, it looks infinitely worse now.

I lot of Hate on Crusaders sites by the public for BB and Savea looks like they will get a great welcome when they turn up in CHCH.
Not that I want to see it,not the way to react.

If the first training session under the new regime doesn’t include whips, cudgels, blasphemy and furrowed brows you will be in here calling for heads to roll. 😂

From quite a few different conversations. This is roughly how things played out, as best I’ve been able to piece together. It’s from a few sources, so there are probably some gaps in here too. Been a bit on the fence about sharing this because can’t confirm a few details but here goes.

@Landers92 you’re very connected to this as well so feel free to add anything I’ve missed.

Players went to Razor with some major culture / strategy / communication concerns and asked if he could work with them to solve them.
    He promised that he would.
He then made the exact opposite decisions without consulting or communicating with them.
He then limited (some?) access to himself and directed feedback to more frequently go through Hansen.

From that point onwards, players seem to have not only felt like they no longer had a voice, but were dismissed when they approached Hansen with the same concerns. At the same time an islander contingent began to feel they were losing their voice.

At some stage, some staff stepped in to bridge the gap and were rebuffed too, unclear whether by Hansen or Razor. This may have happened multiple times.

Somewhere along the line, you had a strategy camp who had issues with management and direction, and island players who felt directly targeted by non-selections they believed were aimed at them for having expressed concerns rather than based on performance. (It may well have been about performance, but perception often becomes reality.)

A big piece of feedback I’ve heard is that when it came to managing people bringing issues to him, he seemed completely lost. In fact, “lost” is probably too kind. In most instances, he appears to have given the worst possible replies, alienating people who were trying to work with him to solve problems. This especially seems to be the case with Savea, the islander boys and some staff. May be true of wider camp but can’t confirm.

Some people who genuinely cared stepped in to try and work with him, and he just didn’t seem to recognise that they were trying to help him.

Perhaps you could wait until the new coaching team is appointed.

That's a shame. Hung drawn and quartered by rumours. What if some of the senior players with adverse feedback were also Crusaders...
