Thinking about factions in the ABs, I seem to recall a comment from Sam Whitelock's book where he said he was not present or aware of the meeting that saved Fozzie's job. Does that mean as a senior player he was surprisingly kept out of the loop, or did he just not want to get involved? Is it more evidence of factions that have always been in play?

Is now a good time to ask again why did Milton Haig resign from his NZ U20 role shortly before their big tournament last year?

@Duluth could make or break his career i guess.
Comes back refreshed and energised, or, realises that his body doesnt like the grind...

I know I have mentioned it before, but with him not playing, Ardie in Japan, is even less reason for the next captain to be announced until the squad is assembled.

That's a good point, the next captain.
Not sure if Codie is in the right head space either.
Black surfer armbands for the next game.

Hopefully he'll be able to move forward and when he takes time to reflect on Razor's tenure he will come to the conclusion that we were pretty shit

lol he is fine back at training ready to go.
I don’t know where these rumours come from
Codie is 100% a pro he will get on with it.

Premediation is fine when picking the captain, as long as the guy is an undisputable pick (which SB was not IMHO). Razor fell into the Taine Randell trap

yep, with a team like ABs, you need a leadership group (so captain is in there) known by this time of year almost. I really no idea who should be captain, as don't know dynamics of the team enough, but one who is generally starting would be almost want to be known by April/May?

I saw this and thought it must be some sort of George Gregan meme......

the truth is a far more pleasant surprise. Terrific news. One of the few genuinely world class ABs going round the traps at the moment.

Maybe it will b a Gregan meme if he gets to say it in the 2027 RWC Final..
I mean, two years out from the RWC* and opposition teams have no idea what our strategy will be!

*Of course neither do we, and having a coach would help, but let's not tell them that.

This is 100% better than us having to pretend there is some dry powder.
