    And you're in Wales, that bag of dicks will most likely be boiled.

    You're in Queensland, so they'll probably be covered in XXXX and done on the baaaaaaaaaaaarbie, in fact.

    Not sure how its cowardice to select the same team that put on a decent performance last time out.

    As for number of jumpers - could happen at any time in a game. If you can't deal with that, you just have to win the game in other areas. We should be used to that by now.

    Look at that team and tell me Pocock's selection is worse than either Mumm or Fardy overall.

    I know there aren't many options at 6 for the Wallabies but reckon they'd be better off with McMahon at 6 and Pocock at 7 - McMahon may not be a 6 but at least he hits hard and can ball run. Neither of which Pocock offers. I think Hooper would be better served playing the Ardie role off the bench.

    @NTA a decent performance and got flogged. I think that gets missed too often. They were flogged.

    Unlike many, many others, i don't worship at the alter of Pocock, so i don't think he's a walk-up start. Hooper hasn't done anything to get dropped, Pocock is a shit 8, and not much of a 6 either to be honest. I think picking him unbalances the pack, and yes, Fardy might be a better option. Hell, as just mentioned below, McMahon might actually be a better fit.

    You might be right, it all might click, Pocock and Hooper win a fuck load of turnover ball on the deck, the halves fire it out to Folau chiming in from the back, and the Wallabies score 30+ points. And it will be golden. Which will beg the question, why was this game different to every other game this year?

    They got flogged three times by the All Blacks this year. The same team whose nearest margin this year was 14 points against Wales when they were warming up, and whose average winning margin in TRC was almost 30 points.

    I think that gets missed too often.

    @NTA look, I'm not looking for a shitfight (well, not really), I'm just struggling to see what Cheika's plan is. Do you know? How does he want to play the game?

    LOL get fucked you're not. You're as angry as the next Queenslander that your mate KWAYYYYYYYYYYDE wasn't picked!

    😉

    I have no fucking idea what Cheika's plan is. I would have settled for McMahonor Fardy starting and Pocock finishing by dicking Wales at the breakdown in the last 15-20 minutes to put their aspirations beyond reach.

    Hooper probably needs a break at some point, though he has looked fairly robust the whole season. Can't drop him though because he's our most consistent performer.

    I think the workload taken on by Coleman and Arnold has been a step above any of our other locks this year. Plus they're big, angry bastards and their ruck work + ball carrying means Hooper especially has a bit of free time to run the wider channels (for which every fucking Brumbies fan has a thousand words of criticism).

    Its all well and good to speak of back row balance, but you've got to have it across your pack as well. If Timani is the big bruiser we've been missing, and the tight 5 keeps their workrate up, Hooper can pop up on attack and Pocock can do the job on defence.

    Don't they think it's something to do with aspect ratio on the TV?

    I'll be interested to see if the Welsh carry on with their more adventurous style from the tour to NZ. Howley will probably have a few different ideas too.

    @Bovidae
    We'll either click and romp away a la the demolition of England a couple of seasons back or clutch defeat from the jaws of victory as is our M.O. against Australia.

    Please be the former.

    Please

    @MiketheSnow

    So you just need to find a ref who hates Australia with the same pathological hatred that Walsh has for England, eh?

    @No-Quarter Doesn't seem to get live coverage, only a replay. They show the Barbarians game live at the Rugby Channel; weird that the Wallabies game can't be broadcasted on Sky Sport 1. They're showing V8 Supercars H/L instead.

    Personally, I wouldn't have set the alarm for the Wallabies game; for the Baabaas game I will get up though because their games are usually very entertaining and also interesting now with all those Super Rugby players in the line-up.

    Stupid idiots from Sky. Not putting this game in their TV guide and not announcing it on Twitter. Will watch the replay; now watching Baabaas.
