IN: James Slipper, Kane Douglas, Scott Fardy, Kyle Godwin, Sefa Naivalu, Luke Morahan, Taqele Naiyaravoro

OUT: Israel Folau, Dane Haylett-Petty, Michael Hooper, Sekope Kepu, Reece Hodge, Adam Coleman (knee), Rory Arnold

First time Folau and Hooper haven't started a test in about a year? RWC 2015 Uruguay I think?

Queenslanders finally have no excuses - Genia + Cooper.

How far have the French fallen that Australia has named a 2nd string side against them. I feel the Aussies will lose this game with an experimental side but can understand Cheika not wanting to flog them to the ground on this grueling tour.

    Yep it's a few things:

    1. Rotation
    2. Build depth
    3. French game isn't part of the Grand Slam
    4. Shuts the fucking Queenslanders up pairing Quade and Genia
    5. Unless we fucking trounce them, then the fucking Queenslanders will be crying out for more

Don't read it like that at all. They have a punishing schedule, they have a chance of a GS, they have a chance for revenge against England.

They would happily sacrifice a defeat to France to achieve the other objectives.

This tour (thanks to the last 15 minutes against Scotland) is going very well for Cheika and the Wallabies. Pasted the Welsh, and withstood the Scots to keep the GS dream alive. Pre-tour plans to rotate for this game can still be rolled out, and he's pretty safe that even a reverse can be talked up in the way of positives.

The whole tour is much more about the next two weekends than this one, and so far it has been set up perfectly.

Bit of credit due i think. It's certainly going better for them than us, and waaaay better than the Boks.

Fucking hell the Queenslanders have already started - finally they get a few of their duds in the XV and they're blowing up that Cheika is throwing the game with all these rookies.

Fuck's sake have a word with yourselves... 🙄

If that's aimed at me, go fuck yourself! 🖕

If aimed at them elsewhere, we have said many times that Reds fans are the absolute worst.

Had to get the kids ready. You'd think, once they both hit 9, they could make their own fucking lunch.

I only have coverage of the match with 0% analysis so unsure what happened to Quade but Foley is in the 10 jumper.

Wallabies 20-11 and playing pretty well.

French player tackled him before he had the ball, that's a penalty try although the comms are not talking about it at all.

I saw a little of the pre match and all they said was that he wasn't playing. I presume he's injured because they zoomed in on him sitting on the bench looking more of a tool than usual in his civvies.

France holding on here but I reckon they get done over in the end. That Morohan looks alright.
