Probably because a Mo'unga-BB 10 - 15 combo could have worked better than the BB-JB combo?

I'd never have started Mo'unga in this game but I'd have preferred him on the bench so that BB could drop back to 15 in the second half and RM could play at first five-eighth.

Would Mo’unga have taken over the kicking? DMac and JB are better kickers than BB, and even with BB having a particularly bad night with the boot Read didn’t give the ball to anyone else.

That was the most inexplicable thing to me, where was the captaincy to adjust when something was going wrong?

Put like that... why did the coach have the third best kicker in the 23 kicking goals from the start of the match....

Your boy ALB gave them a good run for stupidest player on the pitch. Butchering a try by ignoring A Smith on his outside, gifting SA a try with the dumbest intercept you'll see bar Jordies. So bad they subbed him instead of Crotty who was struggling for fitness.

I think Patty T may have played his last test in an AB jersey. He tends to lose the ball in contact too much. And as much as Ofa has improved, who else was nervous every time a scrum packed down in the 2nd half?

Not me, Ofa was huge out there. Franks is a big concern IMO, and was deservedly yanked after 45mins.

Patrick also had a good game, some big runs and good tight work. Dropped one ball.

I am concerned but agree with your lack of imoression with SA. How many points did we gift them? Both with gift intercepts and missed conversions. SA were not that good. Did score a couple of nice tries but take 22 off the margin and NZ win by 20.
