Jacko Gill misses out by 2 cm in advancing with the final 8. Walsh in 3rd.

Not anymore. Kovacs has distanced himself from Walsh. Tom has a decent advantage over the Brazilian in 4th.

Great, improved throw from Walsh, but he stays at bronze. Awesome result with 22.47m (season best).

Yeah, Walsh saved his best for last. Crouser was 65 cm ahead of the rest. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Not a bad result from the NZ shotputters, with two bronze (Adams and Walsh) and 6th for rookie Wesche. Gill will probably be a bit disappointed he didn't make the top 8.

I've seen a few gripes about swimmers being able to win multiple gold medals at the Olympics, but I expect no such complaints about that in the kayaking ๐Ÿ™‚
