Weeks after Alex Walters leaves the England camp for Ireland, Felix Jones has quit citing an unstable working environment - don’t know if he’s also going to Ireland but Jesus, what a joke for the RFU. No idea if this is at Borthwick’s door or if the RFU are making their lives a misery etc. gutting either way

He definitely has the right attitude about dealing with it! Hasn't lost his sense of humor.

It seems an unusual reason to give as a reason for leaving.

Clearly there may be other reasons behind it but it just seems unusual timing.

It’s strange timing as England are starting to look a much improved side with his area one of the major reasons for that.

Plus, at the start of the Nth hemisphere season all clubs will have got all coaches covered.

Unless he wants to leave some time in between taking up a role with Ireland perhaps?

Maybe the RFU have out the coaching team under too much serveillance and the coaches are rejecting that. Otherwise not sure what the unstable work environment would be.

Cracking second half so far from the USA Eagles in their match against Japan

31-10 down and they're back to within a score

Fiji had to dig deep for that win

But for the bounce of the ball Spain could have been in with that kick upfield and we could have had a different result

The score certainly didn’t reflect the match

How the fuck did we lose to Fiji?

                              Great result for Romania

                              Thoroughly deserved

Not if they keep playing ineligible players they’re not.

Under the new rules, the player who was ineligible ahead of the last World Cup would now be fine, funnily enough.

Yeah bizarre really. Nonetheless, they have history of flouting the rules, was my point.

In truth I’m pretty stoked to see some of the lower rated European sides’ improvement. It is probably going to cause a headache going forward. How to give them more opportunity but retain what keeps the 6N what it is?

@Catogrande I suspect that the Six Nations will open their arms to Spain, Germany and possibly even Portugal if they ever get themselves up to around Italy's level.

What that competition might look like is anyone's guess...

Maybe a home nations group and a continental Europe group, with the two groups taking turns hosting semis and finals year on year.

But realistically it will be seven nations including Spain in the soonest possible future, and they'd just stick to the same format with an extra two weeks of games (with, for example, the Premiership still running in the week where England have a bye).

It depends I think upon whether the aim is more rugby, better rugby or popular rugby. In the end it will be money that talks but expect a lot of resistance to change from the current 6N countries along the way. You don't lightly throw away 100+ years of tradition.
