Off course to protect the off spinner can’t keep the field up they will go over the top and it gets away can’t push the field back they will do it in singles.
Good captaincy for that pitch in India.

I still have strong/bad memories of sitting through five days baking n the sun watching his captaincy in losing v Bangladesh at Bay Oval. I might forgive it in a decade

Fair enough but I have played in India and still coach there 3 months every year he is doing a great job these field sets you see all the time in India.
Massive improvement on Southee.
