Good day in Australian Rugby
The Rebels are suing the ARU for the way they were axed, basically saying they were lied to and the ARU acted inappropriately. Just what the game needs right now.
Joseph Suiali'i apparently has a 2-year, $4m player option for the end of his contract. Very nice little contract his germ of a manager managed to get for him.
Coincidentally i have never seen the interest in junior rugby as low as it is this year.

Rugby Vic needs to cut its losses, ditch the brand and everything (our age grade are still playing as U16 and U19 Rebels) and just concentrate on the local scene, you never know one day down the track we might ave a chance of a professional team again but the more they taint things the less likely we'll ever be trusted again

i think this is less Rugby Vic and more a bunch of Directors with skin in the game.

i think this is less Rugby Vic and more a bunch of Directors with skin in the game.
@mariner4life you might be right, i guess a different way to view it is Rugby Vic should distance itself from the whole Rebels brand so as not to be tainted any further but this drama

Notable inclusions in the main squad: Skelton, Kerevi, Potter.
A couple of interesting names in the 2nd Squad: De Lutiis (20yo QLD prop) and Horton, who was not wanted at the Tahs but probably shows where the hooking stocks are right now... and / or that the Tahs aren't the best for recruitment or retention.
A lot of opportunity for the whole group. First squad has 34, second squad 29. Spending up big to see if we can prove a point before Lions 2025.

The marketing pigeon needs to cut costs.
Also, three of them are looking at the camera, and the other three must be looking at something else
