Definitely want an England win - by about 1-2 points with mainly penalties.

Cue mass hysteria - England unbeaten for the year, Grand Slam and the Aussie Brazilian.

This would set things up nicely for a possible ding-dong in Lansdowne on Paddy's Day weekend.

An Aussie win kicking a penalty in overtime on the back of a dodgy scrum penalty would make me happy.

I'm hoping for a Wallabies win. In the series earlier in the year I didn't really care who won but watching Cheika's reaction to the losses was fun.

Now, I want Aust to do to England what they did to the ABs - twice.

Im getting very worried about this game. Billy V's carrying game has been vital to the way England have played under Jones so far, and with Itoje and Haskell out we're missing our two best ruck clearers. Pooper could do a number on us like they did in the World Cup.

Add to that that our defence has looked brittle at times this November and the Austin back line is still very very good given quick ball, plus they'll have been targeting this match for 6 months. If Australia get their tails up it could even turn nasty for England.

You don't reckon it would be anyway?

                I hope Aus win.

                1. I like Eddie less than Chek (mentioned above ... this may change with whatever curcumstances are current at the time though)
                2. Stops England's run.
                3. Good for the sport here in Aus. Always needs as much positivity as it can get.

I find it funny that we are supporting Australia to win because of the record when we laughed at the Aussies celebrating Irelands win over us

Posting from my phone, it doesn't like Aussie.

                      Can't say I blame it.

I'm supporting Aussie to win for the Southern Hemisphere.

SH Rugby has not had a good year - if you had a Rugby style 'Power Rankings' you'd probably say Aussie are currently 4th with the Boks probably 6th/7th behind France and maybe even Scotland.

Aw come on - that would mean the Poms scored a try.

What about 12-all? That way it can be 4 Pommy penalty goals to two tries, one conversion by us 😁

England squad for Saturday as expected. Hughes and Yarde start. The former will be interesting as he's not been in anything like the form he was in last season and needs a big game to fill Vunipola's shoes.

England XV: M Brown (Harlequins); M Yarde (Harlequins), J Joseph (Bath), O Farrell (Saracens), J May (Gloucester); G Ford (Bath), B Youngs (Leicester); M Vunipola (Saracens), D Hartley (Northampton, capt), D Cole (Leicester), C Lawes (Northampton), G Kruis (Saracens), C Robshaw (Harlequins), T Wood (Northampton), N Hughes (Wasps).

Replacements: J George (Saracens), J Marler (Harlequins), K Sinckler (Harlequins), C Ewels (Bath), T Harrison (Northampton), D Care (Harlequins), B Te'o (Worcester), H Slade (Exeter).

I guess the big question here is whether Clown-boy has the tactical smarts to devise a gameplan that out-thinks Percentage-Eddie.
I tend to think that the Wobblies have worked so hard on getting the selections right and the players playing well that game strategy hasn't had the right level of focus.
If Cheika feels he has the team operating OK then can he come up with the right ideas? England are not going to fall into the trap of kicking to Folau or using high balls, they are likely to uses Ireland's forward style with their steriod brutes but look to use the backs more within the attacking zone.
Australia need to continually shift the point of attack when they get the ball and hunt down any space they exploit. One thing the poms aren't used to is defending against is continually changing threats,

I think one thing we saw in the June series was that in the first 10 minutes of the first Test England looked shellshocked at the speed and intensity of Australia's attack. Thankfully they adapted quickly, but it was clear that it was a step up from anything they faced in the Six Nations or domestic rugby.

Based on what we've faced so far in this series, England could be vulnerable to a similar blitz again.

As expected, England have Hughes in for Billy Vunipola and Yarde in for the suspended Daly. Eddie is persisting with Harrison as the back up back row option and has preferred Ewels over Atwood as back up lock, which is probably more surprising.

Aus looked very good in parts v Ireland and as England seem to have found a bit of defensive frailty they will need to b fully on song against a good attack. @SimonAdd_2 mentioned that we will need to boss the breakdown otherwise the Pooper will be all over us and it will look like RWC pool stage all over again, however the big confidence booster for me was Noddy saying how much of a different team Aus are now than the summer. Hmmm.

                                          England Team to face Aus:-

M Brown (Harlequins); M Yarde (Harlequins), J Joseph (Bath), O Farrell (Saracens), J May (Gloucester); G Ford (Bath), B Youngs (Leicester)

M Vunipola (Saracens), D Hartley (Northampton, capt), D Cole (Leicester), C Lawes (Northampton), G Kruis (Saracens), C Robshaw (Harlequins), T Wood (Northampton), N Hughes (Wasps).

Replacements: J George (Saracens), J Marler (Harlequins), K Sinckler (Harlequins), C Ewels (Bath), T Harrison (Northampton), D Care (Harlequins), B Te'o (Worcester), H Slade (Exeter).
