Still one of my favourite 6N promos - that was "banned".

@Pot-Hale It sums up the 6N pretty well and I don't find it offensive at all. I find it really quite funny. The only thing that leaves me a little sour is that you get the feeling that if it was any other of the Home Nations teams there would be a media outcry.

Great piece of marketing. Real rugby spirit about it. Only an utter twat would find that offensive.

I agree Cato. There probably would be. I have to say my answer has always been Wales or France. Probably because I spent my childhood years trudging out of Lansdowne Road after being beaten by them - again!

England remain my favourite team for Ireland to play against and meet fans from. John Pullin is still highly regarded by fans of my generation - with his team's and the RFU's stance on the 1973 Five Nations tourney. It's a shame that the proper match couldn't be set up for the opening of the new Lansdowne Road.

              Thats a great ad!

Although if it was the same for the AB's going into the world cup, I can't help but think I may have had a bit of a sense of humor failure ...

@Pot-Hale Ah now, who are your favourite fans? Such a difficult one as I can't think of anytime that I've come away from twickenham thinking "that was an unpleasant afternoon". Win or lose the banter is usually pretty good. I even had good experiences at eh England v NZ match a couple of years back and we know that the Kiwis don't have much experience of losing, but to a man the ones I met were great (if a little depressed come the end). In between games is often different though...

The worst I see now is at club games. Down here in Exeter we now have a team that is dining at the top table and that has brought on so many fuckwits who have no real idea about the game nor about how to behave with opposition fans. They are usually the loudest in shouting at the ref showing the world and his wife their total fucking ignorance of h=what is actually going on. Nowadays I rarely go to the main stand as it is full of these corporate knob-jockeys but go and stand with the hoi-polloi - much more informative, just takes a bit longer to get a half time beer that's all. Small price to pay.

@Catogrande worst fan I met at Twickers was an Aussie, biggest Cnut you are ever likely to meet, had I not been with my new (female) boss I woulda thumped him...as it was, it was another Aussie who was so embarrassed by his big mouth and attitude that they almost came to blows, but it did quiet him down....

Oh the game, some game the ABs allegedly played there in 1999...after the game, There was another group of fans that were cnuts, who were also not involved in that game....

I was at that one as well. S African Boers / Bores sitting behind me and the wife and it took all of my self control not to smack the pricks. Just vulgar, rude and offensive. They had lost the day before to the Larkham drop goal and were more than a little bitter. Every nation has knobs I guess, and fortunately the French blokes next to us put an end to it and were most sympathetic to a Kiwi's misery.

My experiences at Twickenham with English fans have generally been good.

I watched most of that Saracens game on the weekend and can only assume that Eddie Jones has some kind of electric probe he inserts up Itoje to make him effective for England. He did absolutely sweet FA all game. Even with expectations of a club lock he was ineffective. Continually jogging from ruck to ruck. He's certainly no Whitelock or Rettalick when it comes to workrate and also looks to be struggling with getting himself down low enough for non risk tackles.
How this makes him the saviour of the injured back row I have no idea.

Yeah, he was pretty average, flipside is when Sarries won the Heiniken Cup last year he was MOTM in the Quarter, the Semi & the Final..

So he can turn it on. Personally I think the kids an absolute superstar

That Eddie has an electric probe up inside of?

Yes. Or Mark McCall needs to replace the batteries in his one..

No Anscombe? I assume a "wildcard" is a player selected from Overseas?
