Just woken up to this scoreline.

It's not going to help super rugby's credibility, you can't sell cakewalks to neutral audiences.

I miss more and more the super 12 😞

I agree with Gregor Paul. If this competition is not fixed fast it will just implode. NZ players will prefer the challenge of Europe with better pay than trashing any teams not made in nz. If I read a journalist or a poster going on about how amazing super rugby is and how boring NH rugby is then I know they haven't got a clue. I mean 83-17, what's the point.

Credit to the Sunwolves, they never gave up and their fans were great to the end.

If the SW are basically going to be ginger stepchild of Japanese rugby then I don't know why they bothered including them. Seems that the come a very distant second behind the local league.

@Rancid-Schnitzel Yeah, two weeks to prepare as a squad is ridiculous.

The first round hasn't even finished and already the competition is showing its flaws again. That was bad. Super Bang Bang Boom Boom Whatever-else-the-fuck-you-do bad.

Sleeping on planes is tough. I suggest pre loading on spirits.

Good game, he gets around the field pretty well for someone who is 7 ft.

I got up for this just cos I was looking forward to the first outing for the Defending Champs.
Aside from TJ, who looked in very good touch, Jules's (almost length of the field} try, A Savea, Vince Aso, Proctor and the rise and rise of Jordie Barrett, there wasn't much to write home about. In the end the SW got the spanking they deserved. SW fans turned up in droves and were supportive throughout though,
Canes D in the last 20 turned to shit as did their subs, the refereeing was shitter than shit. It was ok for the SW to be miles offside and off their feet at every ruck it seems. Hometown Ref? More like tamed SW ref methinks. I dread to think of the penalty count against the Canes. All I want is for the laws to be applied equally and fairly to both teams.

Canes looked like they were going to score over 100 points with 15 minutes left. But SWs were poor up until the last 15 minutes. For the Canes Jodie looks class, Aso looked good enough on the wing, unsure still about Laumape at 2nd (maybe a better replacement option)., Black was fine at first, saw little of Blackwell but a lot of Fatialofa and Ricky Riccitelli looks fine at this level
