A yellow under the old rules is my sense, just really dumb - just about off the main camera shot... might have made some sense if it was on the ball carrier...

Now that my red mist has calmed down I think we'll see a few more red cards this year...

How bad was it?

It was late, he didn't really use his arms and it was a bit high. However, TNW did slip into it and it wasn't contact with the head. I think justice would have been a yellow but under the new rules it has to be a red. Even if only a yellow was given it would still have been stupid play from Luatua and the Chiefs have exploited the last ten minutes with him not on the field anyway.

The RC has destroyed this one for the Blues but I think they showed enough that they could win most of their non NZ games and pick up a couple of wins within. Trouble is that the format won't pay that effort.
