Highlanders v B&I Lions

This is the way the Highlanders want the game to go.

@MiketheSnow trying to let the game flow bro!
All for it, but basic obvious infringements need to be refereed.

@MiketheSnow not how we roll down here!
Reckon it is a deliberate ploy by the Lions when these kicks are put through that the outside man is almost always appears a yard in front, buggar all in it, but is still off side.

"Almost always appears a yard in front, bugger all in it"
So he was behind in front nearly always apparently.....gotcha.

@Pot-Hale was being diplomatic...they are always fucking off side at the kick.
Better?

I love the smell of fence-sitters in the morning.

Tsk, tsk...Attempting to apply an English stereotype to an Irishman never really works.

Entertaining game. Naholo staking his claim.
Buckman solid as. Thinking the abs might have got more value out of him than Laumape.

@Pot-Hale you're Irish?

Three differences from Saturday:
-
The roof (Christchurch needs one). Much better game when the ball is dry.
 -
Lions mainly dirt-trackers.
 -
Southern Hemisphere ref. Lions the ones having to adjust.

Highlanders are doing very well, though. Naholo has been very good - as has Sopoaga. Fekitoa displaying pluses and minuses - but his commitment and leg drive when harnessed correctly are awesome.
I thought Hammington would be a crucial weak link, but he's holding his end up. As are the forwards.
Doesn't seem like many Lions forcing their way into the test squad?

Yes. Jeez, it takes time for the penny to drop with you Aussies...

@Pot-Hale can you blame us, we are a continent of criminals, not always the best and brightest.
 -

If Fekitoa, Naholo and the Barracuda were playing for the Lions then this game would be out of sight already.

Live by the cross kick, die by the cross kick.
