I'm surprisingly stoked with the team. Ballsy pick by Hanson. Abs by 15.

I like Sopoaga, but if you watch the last ten or so of the Highlanders Lions he made Crudes look like Mr. Reliable!

Sopoaga also made very poor decisions late which cost the Highlanders in both losses to the Crusaders this season

        Backline defense worries me....

Can't understand Fekitoa on the bench, he's no impact player.

He will probably come on and be super ball greedy, trying to prove a point like he did in the Highlanders game. If that's the case why not pick Mackenzie?

@Chris-B won't be happy with all the Canes players starting for the decider.

@No-Quarter Nah, he'd be more concerned if there were Canes players wearing nos 1-8 (Coles excepted).

Because Fekitoa can defend at centre.

guess it is a ballsy play, but really one that was forced upon them, if not for injuries and suspension only sees Smith, BB & Dagg remain, as I expect Ioane would have kept his spot if SBW, Crotty & Smith are all available.

At least Laumape is in the position where he has shown great form at Super Rugby, not finding himself in no-man's land on the wing.

Genuinely concerned about young Jordie at the back.

                      Moreso than Dagg?

Yes. Barrett the younger will be handed the ball before Dagg.

Our forwards didn't front that day , I still believe if they did it would've been a different story

That was a leadership issue; allowing them to fuck around at a scrum counting down the sin bin.

Have I ever mentioned that Jordie is a 12?

This is a massive gamble that I think will pay off.

No All Black losses since 1066 when the world was distracted by other events - so we conveniently avoided recording that one too.

Fuck you Booboo - you said flush the dunny and that's what they've gone and done.

Ioane's dropping is bullshit. Carved up in the first test scoring two crucial tries and then is dropped on his performance in a second test when all the backs were misfiring and we had extenuating circumstances.

Oh well, I hope that Fatty is going to have the big game his fluffers promise he still has in him. Go the Bus!

My thoughts on J Barrett haven't changed from earlier in the thread. Nothing I've seen from him this year for the Canes suggests AB starting fullback. Hell, even his good Super form was early in the season before he plateaued. If Fatty was brought in for experience then just keep Dagg at the back. He might miss a one on one tackle on a 120kg Tongan Welsh number 8 from 5 metres out but then again Super form suggest Barrett will as well.

I like Laumape, would have preferred Fekitoa, but think Laumape will do the job with the confidence of a test already under his belt.

Hopefully our forwards to the damage up front so that we're less reliant on our backs.

I have gone from being quietly confident of an easy AB victory, to seeing that back 3 and now feeling nervous.

Hopefully our forwards to the damage up front so that we're less reliant on our backs.

I have gone from being quietly confident of an easy AB victory, to seeing that back 3 and now feeling nervous.

@Nepia said in All Blacks v BI Lions Test #3:

JB might struggle with cover defence, but I would have backed him to take down that Ton..er Welsh fatty one on one.
