    This game keeps delivering.

Bring on Yama in the 9th and walks one. Base loaded and 2 out.

A great hit and collision in the outfield for the catch.

    We go to extra innings.

    A double play wins it.

The squeaky bum nature of this sport is on its own level!

Yama was huge to close that out. But Will Smith’s homer was massive.

    That was brilliant sporting theatre.

Brutal if you are a Blues Jays fan. So close yet so far.

Yep, Yamamoto, with extra outings during the series, was very good every time he made an appearance.

A great series but gutted for Toronto. It would have been good to see the only non-US team win again. They had their chances though.

It’s funny , I should prefer Toronto but a rival club I didn’t like I used to play against in the Melbourne league were the Blu jays with the same uniform and it puts me off .

With the 2nd Dodgers win a row, the new CBA negotiations are guna be a huge shit-fight.
The Dodgers have the 2nd highest pay-roll.
It would be the highest, but virtually all of Ohtani’s money is deferred. I think he took home less than $2 mil this season.

There is no salary cap in MLB, and the owners want one.
The players have resisted that for decades.
Ironically my gut-feel is that most of the players are ok with some changes.
But there is a long player legacy steadfastly opposed to it.
And none of the current players want to be known as the ones who finally caved-in.

Earlier in the season MLB commissioner Manfred visited the Phillies club room.
Bryce Harper picked up a bat and told him that if he had come to talk about the CBA, he could fuuuuck-off.
Manfred apparently didn’t back down; asked some one to give him a bat!

Guna be fun to follow; a lot of very, very rich people duking it out.

@mohikamo Manfred is a tough fella and I think he genuinely wants what’s best for the league and knows things need to change.

That incident did end with him and Harper shaking hands, but nonetheless it’s going to be a tough negotiation and threats of lock outs will no doubt be bandied around

    A bit of pre-bout jousting.

MLB seem determined to do something about the competitiveness of the franchises.
Which is better in the NFL/NBA/NHL.
NBA Oklahoma v Indiana (smaller market teams) would not be possible in MLB.
Those two were the first teams in the finals for decades, who were not paying salary cap luxury tax.

They want to create that sort of scenario.
Certainly dont wanna be like one of those big West Euro soccer leagues, where only a handful of teams can win.

Yamamoto was actually given the wins in games 6 and 7; three wins all-up.
Hadn't realised that, very, very impressive.
