TSF Mitre 10 Cup Tipping 2018

Well no decisive move in the race for the title but the chasers lower down have all closed the gap meaning that there are 6 chasers within 10 of the lead. There isn't much difference in the picks for the final 2 games but Fiamacho could still snatch the title if Manawatu thrashes Southland.
Higgins and Stargazer are bound together and can't really pass Langakali. Tim might still compete with a narrow Auckland win and a big Manawatu win - I think.
The final looks like going to the wire with just a 2 point gap.

Goodness things re tight for first, and equally so for third with three tied for the bronze with Gunner's storming finish set to grab the bronze at the death with the 'Poo expected to win pretty easily. All will be revealed in about 90 minutes when the gongs will be handed out.
Crucial will need a real miracle in the Cup. Looks like only an appeal to the IRB on some obscure point of law will be the only thing that might save him. -

We are all done for the season .... and the winners are
Langakali is the overall champion - just holding on in the closest finish for years. 4 points was the winning margin over the fast finishing Gunner who moved up from 7th to 2nd in the final week. Fiamacho also on the podium but left to rue tipping late and missing the easy 10 in the first game that would have won the title.
Northland win the team title with a late run on the final game - 4 maximums and a 7 to Wellington's collection of 7s meant their team scored 3 more points overall to win by just a single point with the average score. Gunner and Cactus Jack cancelled each other out with superb 64s and TR's 59 was critical to the win.
Finally Tim wins the TSF Cup by an embarrassing 33 points but Crucial did have to gamble in the final week - but missed tipping the only upset of the round.

A deserved win. I somehow flunked my run to the final much like England in the 2007 RWC.
Still had a chance in the last round but should have known better than to put faith in teams with ‘North’ in their names.. -
