We're pretty much done now. These two just need to aim for 4-5 an over in the meantime and then see how close they can get, with the possibility of some tinny shots at the end.

Sweep was not a great option there, he was going well playing it straight. Still, can't expect much from the tail end.
Frustrating as this was an easily winnable game if our batsmen just played within themselves.

I think that's the most disappointing result of the series. First three games we were outplayed across the park. Fair play India. But this one we just threw it away with a series of ridiculous dismissals when there was no RR pressure at all. We showed a lack of mental strength that makes me think we'll be very lucky to go deep at the CWC.

Also, why have Todd Astle in the team if hes not going to bowl? Munro doing his best Gavin Larsen impersonation today. Now would be the time to pull him out of the attack before he goes for 18 in an over or something dumb

Cantab Stead is pretty determined to pick cantab Henry. Henry has had worse form than Munro.

India have done a fantastic job on Kane in this series. Not fed his scoring shots and blocked up his driving areas - one thing to have a plan, another to implement it and they have so superbly. Kane has become so frustrated he's not thinking clearly, yesterday's shot a prime example. And just when he and Latham had finally got on top.

Henry is a total pie thrower. He must only be in the mix because Milne and Ferguson aren't fit at the same time

I was pleased when India recovered from their early collapse to get through to a total which represented a decent chase, but soon rued those thoughts!
We learnt a little more about a couple of guys last night. Munro is still a Muppet. Nicholls as an opener? Too small a snapshot. CDG? Hmm, a marginal selection. He was shit in both disciplines last night. Henry? Probably has a WC spot sewn up now and possibly at Southee's expense.
