For just once I'd have loved the Aussie commentary. Kearnsy must have been apoplectic when 7 man AB scrum pushed Wobblies off ball!

NZ don't do Man of the match. But he had 13 tackles no misses, not highest tackles (Sam w 17-2) but no misses. Lovely. Along with 66m, 2 clean breaks, 4 defenders beaten. More than the rest of the abs forwards put together

Our criticism of Hansen and co was legit though. Their game plan has been appalling up to now. AND useless we bring the mongrel each week in our tight 5, we will be vulnerable against some sides.

        All part of the plan

If the plan requires losing the week before I'm not sure how well that'll work in knock-out rugby 🤔

Are we playing knock out rugby yet? Shag is shrewd. Everything is falling into place

Not Shag's plan but BOTH these two games have been great preparation for RWC.

I don't think his plan was to lose. But they have been hiding tactics, they have been chopping and changing combinations in TRC. He is looking ahead

I'm not sure hiding tactics for the past few years is really a sound strategy. I mean, how are you actually going to be prepared to use them?

Dominating Australia when the bounce of the ball is going our way on the back of a humiliating defeat is kind of our minimum expectations.

Best effort by us for a while - but, where was Australia?

I was expecting a titanic effort to finally snatch away the Bled, but from the first kick-off that nearly went out on the full, they just looked resigned to losing. A very meek effort!

They weren’t allowed to play well. Plus some -Beale in particular were pea hearted tonight .

The best All Black performance since Lions test 1 2017.

                Beautiful stuff.

                Brilliant tactics in the wet.

Aaron Smith absolutely sensational at halfback.

The tactics were far better. Direct running, kicks turning them around, clearance kicks from the base.

Players with question marks reallt stood up - Mounga, Bridge, Reece, SBW, the loosies, Tuipulotu. Just awesome.

                Really hope Mounga is ok.

I don't think the scrum was much more than getting outsmarted. Coleman's idiocy at lineout surrendered some early territory.

The ruck work was pretty much everyone. Back to the past.

And 2 line out steals (although, knocked one of them on)

Stay away from his driveway this week. He’s effectively the Southern Hemisphere Stephen Jones now and deserves as much respect as the welsh drunk.

Pat T changed my perception this week. A great game in black

Amazing how different the scrum was despite the past 3 years, you make one change, and well, I can't remember any tier 1 test scrum of 7 beasting an eight like tonight.

All very comforting for sure but, can I question where that intensity was versus Ireland on a couple of recent occasions?

But, yeah well done everyone, a fine tune against Tonga and then do as you see fit in Japan, shag.

George Bridge was interviewed, said tonight was the first time his folks have seen him play a test match. Priceless

His parents have been keeping their powder dry.

To be fair he's only played 4 tests?

My one real gripe. Patty T is not great at lineout and with Savea ALL hair at 6 it leaves two real targets. Read got double teamed once in second. Possibly a factor in two Coles overthrows to back.

That said, Patty T seems to have learned how to scrum, and maybe Sam W playing TH lock for Chch has allowed PT to move to LH, which seems better for him.

Bring the Giraffe into the line

My tuppence before reading the thread.

I avoided Fernage during the game so not sure how we were feeling at any stage.

Anyways ... in no particular order ...

                                          1. Someone take Dane Coles prescription for angry pills off him
                                          2. Was that the dumbest in from the side penalty ever conceded by anyone conceded by Moody?
                                          3. "Hi Kurtley. I'm Patrick."
                                          4. "Hi Kurtley. I'm Patrick. I believe we've met."
                                          5. MOTM thread is going to be interesting. I'll feel guilty not voting for at least five players.
                                          6. Goal kicking!! Cost them more than us thankfully.
                                          7. Scrums!! The 7 man scrum fucking them up was a thing of beauty.
                                          8. Much like last week I did not see that coming. I was suitably concerned.
                                          9. So our number 9 IS Aarron Smith not some imposter.
                                          10. Wingers were good. Not sure how I feel about that. Am massive fanboi of both Bender and Rieko.
                                          11. So is Ben Owen Franks going to finish his All Black career without a try?
                                          12. Yay us.
