The Highlanders have won 5 of the last 6 matches between the sides. Including 2 of the last 3 at Eden Park

Clearly they should be favourites. I think the underdogs have a reasonable chance though

....have you seen how the blues are playing compared to how we've been playing?...thats a much better gauge for who is the fav

@Duluth Haha, nice try, but the Highlanders are clearly not the favourites this year.

Rubbish. You're using feelings. I'm using logic. The undefeated Highlanders are favourites

Not to mention the blues will get penalised off the park in the first half and Josh is yet to miss a kick in SRA.

it feels like your trolling but i'll bite a little...undefeated in one game, compared to two games for the blues

we just scraped past the chiefs...at home...when the blues beat them comfortably

its at home for the blues

          TAB have blues as favs

and before covid the blues we riding high on the table and we were struggling with largely the same squads...except we had ioane then

facts = blues favs to win

I’ve been to almost every Blues home game since I returned to NZ in 2013. Think of all the shitty performances I sat through during the Kirwan/Umaga years.. then there were the cruel games where the Blues outplayed the opposition but still manage to lose in the last 5mins

It’s going to be a long time before I watch a game confident of a win.

This year has been fun so far

Blues favourites, but the Highlanders are a lot more dangerous than most people think

@Bones im not sure i'd even say sio is he was a great winger but walden is better in the midfield definitely

Koroi is actually a really good 10, very attacking/creative....yeah...nervous

What's the oil on Walden missing out altogether. Couldn't see him on the injured list. Any idea?

He was injured to start the super season and then they stuck with the (doomed from the start) failed experiment of Ioane at 12 and Misery Hunt at 10. It's starting to smell like something else now with the ridiculous selections going on seemingly just to ensure our 2nd best back last year doesn't even make the bench.

"Periods of rain, heavy at times with thundery falls possible until evening. Rain easing to showers at night with northeasterlies changing westerly"

Not sure you really want that, our strength is the forwards and field kicking.

It’s going to be a long time before I watch a game confident of a win.

This year has been fun so far

Blues favourites, but the Highlanders are a lot more dangerous than most people think

....so....draw? 😉 or somehow we both loose :man_facepalming_light_skin_tone:

                                No draws. Golden point.

well...if it is tied after golden point....

I’ve been to almost every Blues home game since I returned to NZ in 2013. Think of all the shitty performances I sat through during the Kirwan/Umaga years.. then there were the cruel games where the Blues outplayed the opposition but still manage to lose in the last 5mins

Not sure you really want that, our strength is the forwards and field kicking.

Yeah you're right, our forwards and kicking game suck. What we really want is a dry track to unleash our rolls Royce backline.

I see your point, I just think the weather favours us more than you regardless. Even Nock's kicking has been good this year, and bad weather forces us to kick instead of play too much.

That avoids the variability of the refereeing a bit as well, so you don't try to play too much from your half.

I really want to watch what the Blues forwards would do to a team if they are forced to play tight. Patrick is destroying people out there at the moment.

@Kirwan yeah so what you're saying is I should be hoping the match doesn't go ahead as we've got no hope and if it does I definitely shouldn't want the weather to play towards our strengths because you're still stronger? Righto...
