Great main fight
If Justin wins the title they could run this one back for sure
-
@MiketheSnow maybe Pimblett will listen to his corner next time? Entertaining fight though
What’s next for Pimblett? The winner of Hooker v BSD this weekend?

Yeah
But he tried for the single leg and got stuffed each time

Yeah but he needed to try it earlier in the fight. Only one attempt in the first three rounds. He went for it later in the fight when he was compromised with all the damage
His corner was begging for it. Gaethje was off balance plenty of times in rounds 1 and 3 in particular

Way more pumped for this card than last weekend. Whole main card are crowd pleasers.
Picks:
Tau
Lui
Szalay
Dom Mar Fan (If its the guy I'm thinking of he had a hell of a fight on RTUFC)
OfliMicallef
Malkoun
Rowston
ElekanaSalkilld
Teixeira
Fiziev
Hooker
Lopes (I said after their last match that I think Lopes would take a 2nd fight...sticking with much as much as I hope I'm wrong) -
Fighters are just not the same after fighting the highlight.
-
Volk way too good again. Plenty of adjustments from both sides but the fundamentals were the same. Lopes struggled to close the distance and didn't have much success in cutting him off
Not sure what fight DC was watching. Quite a strange commentary.
Another confusing fight by Hooker. After the last fight he talked about how he shouldn't jump for the guillotine. He has really good TDD but struggles to get back to his feet.. so the risk/reward of voluntarily going to the ground doesn't make sense against people like Arman/BSD
It will be interesting to hear if that was a tactic of it was just instinct taking over again. A shame, he was looking good on the feetSalkilld looks special
Another good effort from Rowston. Nice feints, he scrambled Brundage's brain
-
Not the greatest event, if it weren't for the local interest I'd probably rate it pretty low.
Volk was fantastic, clearly getting into UFC at the time of his 2 knockouts has given me the wrong read on his ability. Unlike the last fight there was no slow down in the later rounds.
Disappointed with Hooker result, such an entertaining dude. Missed most the fight due to irl issues but from what I've heard he did some awesome then some stupid. Would be great if he'd stick to a game plan and listen to coaches and try to have a serious run. Can't imagine they'll give him Paddy now.
9-4 with picks..3 of those the last 3 fights
Awesome payday for Salkilld. His first main event +$25K finishing bonus + $100K performance of the night. Shame it had to be against another aussie

MVP has been removed from Middleweight rankings, he's slated now to fight a 'Sam Patterson' in London at Welterweight in March. I understand that MVP wants to focus at welterweight but surely he should get a go against a ranked opponent. Love watching him fight but no-one wants to fight him and if he no longer has a rank next to his name will he get any fights?
I'd love to know how fights get put together, is it a real situation where good fighters can't get fights?
-
A little surprising that he wants to go to WW after beating Cannonier
Did he push to be on this card because it's London? It's only a fight night and Murphy earned the headline spot. Maybe he would've got a better opponent on another card?
-
@Duluth Yeah a bit surprising but that's where he feels better fighting at. Probably pushed to be on this card regardless but apparently really struggling to get any fights. Interestingly Shavkat today has dropped from WW rankings and MVP is now in at 15th
