Reiko is a good selection at center. The odd selection is BB at FB and JB on the wing. I would prefer Clarke starting, JB at FB and BB in the reserves. Either BB starts at 1st or in the reserves. And I'm unsure if Goodhue is the best option at 2nd 5. Maybe ALB is a better option

Apparently Fozzie is facing the media at 12.
Plenty of time to load the guns.

What are they thinking? Goodhue isn't a 12. Jordie is the form fullback and he gets chucked on the wing? Big yikes.

Buggering about with the midfield has been de rigeur for the last 4 years so Foster is obviously aiming for continuity.

If I could make one change it would be Jordie to 15 resulting in BB to 22 and Clarke to 14 (provided he can play on the right wing).

4 years? you meant "over the entire course of professional rugby except when Nonu and Smith existed" right?

Shit, even Tana had a revolving door at 12 (including him on occasion)

Little and Bunce were steady for ever

Even having one consistent pick is nice ...

good point, my bad. A midfield i never thought i would see bettered in a Black jersey.

Not a campaign to start with a loss if you are playing players out of their best positions. Will lead immediately to second guessing.

@Crucial Yep, especially because BB never looked like he was in great form, this year. They just didn't have the guts to move him to the bench.

Going against the grain here, I'm fine with the 14/15 selections. As I said a few days ago, BB is just way too good, even in current not-his-best form, to only play 30minutes. He needs to be there for 80, Md he is fit enough that he can still provide spark at the end without needing to have fresh legs.

JB also deserves a start, as he has been in great form, and provides a real point of difference with his size and place kicking from distance. I expect a few high balls to be sent to his wing in attack.

I dislike JG at 12, and Bridge is uninspiring. And I would def have started Sotutu and brought Savea off the bench for 35 minutes at whatever loose position he could best serve.

And I would def have started Sotutu and brought Savea off the bench for 35 minutes at whatever loose position he could best serve.

so play Jordie at 12! he'll be better than bloody Goodhue there.

Going against the grain here, I'm fine with the 14/15 selections. @Kiwiwomble For Bender the wing wasn't an unnatural position though, as he started there at the Highlanders. They only moved him to fullback when Dagg left.

the best fullback shunted to the wing in order to select the 2nd best fullback
neither of the two wingers are really the best in the country

and it's one of the last physically imposing back 3s i have ever seen

@mariner4life should still be more than adequate to see off a young Wallabies side with a new coach at home.
