After last season and the wc , this is very disappointing when it was the obvious we had to work on

Last play summed the half up, Frizzell not being able to clean, Fijian forwards winning the ruck.
Frizell gone well? I have not seen much of him.

I see on Stuff that Steve Hansen says it’s “stupid” that his self appointed mate hasn’t been guaranteed the All Blacks coaching role until after the 2023 RWC.

That’s exactly who I am referring to, and PPP should be given some chances too perhaps.

Frizell gone well? I have not seen much of him.
@nostrildamus you can usually spot him ineffectively hanging on Fijian forwards as they're stealing AB ruck ball

Good game so far.
Those Fijian's are big boys and are playing some rally good rugby.
Might need a change of game plan at half time and commit a few more to the ruck as we're struggling to clear the ball quick enough. The backs will do the business as long as they can get quick ball.

Not many carrying meters from the forwards
Sotutu with 13 & Tuipulotu with 8 are the best. Really low compared to normal

Bower I think literally has no stats. We cant have a LH prop who only scrums.

On the positive side, I'd hope this is another step towards getting some new ideas in the ABs

Trying something different so haven't been reading the thread.
Frizzell, despite having some big games against the Crusaders and looking as though he may be finally looking the part, has failed to impress. He has been ineffective so far. How many more chances dies he get?
That hut on McKenzie looked high. Might have been worth a longer look.
Is there a game plan? If there is, it ain't gonna win us a World Cup. We need to be able to beat the big teams while playing below par. This game plan relies on us playing well with all passes sticking and us getting the bounce of the ball.
