Really enjoyed this contest ,seeing another repeat of last week would have done nothing for anyone..
Fiji really bought it physically showing the benefits of many of their forwards especially playing in France and Europe in general but I suspect being stuck in isolation and lack preparation finally told especially in and around breakdown accuracy and discipline..All Blacks looked better when both Whitelock and Coles were on the field ..but in terms of consistency I thought Ethan Blackadder playing in the unfamiliar jersey was very solid ..biggest disappointments to me where Sotutu,Tuipulotu and Frizzell..@steven-harris said in All Blacks vs Fiji:

Softness there that needs sorting. BBBR got better but didn’t dominate, where Sam Whitelock just looked class.

Also thought Taylor lacked accuracy and the starting two props looked lost out there too.

That game reaffirmed that no matter how good Frizzell is at super, unfortunately international rugby is beyond him.
@taniwharugby Yup, Test level is a far tougher, tighter style of footy. Doesn't matter how well you go at the level below, you're either made for test level or you're not, and Frizell is not.

Once again the lack of go forward up the middle was an issue. In fact, Fiji won that battle. It is a feature of "Foster teams" from the hapless Chiefs to the ABs since he has been involved. You saw Rennie's Wobs take a different tack and attack up the middle against the French to some effect. It was the Blackadder-coached Crusader's problem as well.
