Lawson is flying so far, looks to be a good track for the RB.

        Although Tsunoda out in Q1...

Fire on the track and yet again Albon has the shittest luck. Gets caught out mid flying lap and now I think it's only used tires left for his final shot.

Sneaks through to Q3, Hadjar doesn't make it.

Lawson on the 3rd row, fastest RB on the track! Verstappen and Piastri got a bit shafted by Gasly having a spin.

Fastest RB driver. Great opportunity to get in the points if he can race clean

Good to see him finally get it right in qualifying. In the last few events he’s been quick in the practise sessions and his race pace looked ok

Finally it looks like Lawson is driving with confidence in the car and his luck appears to have changed. Previously if something could go wrong for him, it did.

Tsunoda showing that being #2 to Max is a career killer.

Huge result. Weak start but worked in his favour as Verstappen was taken out.

Held off Alonso for 50 odd laps too as on same strategy. Beat Hadjar too.

Meanwhile, his Red Bull replacement? Dead last.

He’s now looking like solid lower-mid table driver. Awesome for him, if he can keep the team on side he’s on his way now.

What do you do when your Hadjar and Red Bull offer you the Red Bull seat end of year?

Big step forward for Liam Lawson. Hopefully, he'll get a contract with someone decent and committed to him in 2026.

Meanwhile, McLaren are looking pretty unassailable for the constructors' championship and the drivers' championship may well become a showdown between Piastri and Norris.

Huge changes next year, with new engines and completely new cars. If they continue on this design track the second seat will continue to be a graveyard. Of course, if Max leaves...... Red Bull need a hard reset

@canefan Russell confirmed he was speaking to Mercedes. So anything is on. Well known Jos Verstappen does not like Horner.

Hard to predict this years movements. My guess, based on nothing is:

                                Max to Mercedes.
                                Hamilton out of F1
                                Russell to Ferrari
                                Tsunoda to RB
                                Hadjar to Red Bull
                                Red Bull 2: rookie.

They've been stuck together a lot this year

Also, Alonso had DRS for most of that and Lawson did not.

Awesome jam packed with entertainment British GP. After a few months of blistering sunshine, the rain of course made its second appearance (since the last bank holiday) to disrupt things.

Crap for our man Lawson, shunted off by a racing incident in one of the first corners. 3 cars trying to go around a corner, Lawson wasn't to know what that the third car was there. At least Tsunoda came dead last proving once again what we all hoped, the problem was the car, not the driver.

McLaren dominance up front. Piastri's race really but he fucked up a post safety car. He can whinge, cry, moan as much as he wanted, and yes I'm sure Max played it a bit, but he did lose 100mph of speed by aggressive braking behind the safety car, rules say you can't do that, so suck it up.

Norris therefore gets his home GP win and boy was he happy and emotional about it. Now only 8 points behind Piastri, the race is back on.

But of course the biggest news for Hulkenberg. Finally gets a podium in his 239th attempt. It's impossible not to be happy for him, his team played a blinder, pitting to perfection in amongst the inclement weather. Amazing day for him.

@MajorRage the flip side would be Max shouldn't be accelerating at such a great rate when he's flying blind, but yeah it wasn't a good look in those conditions.

@MajorRage the flip side would be Max shouldn't be accelerating at such a great rate when he's flying blind, but yeah it wasn't a good look in those conditions.

Max played it, 100%. The comms were clear that Max needed hot tyres, so Piastri's play was to slow it right down so Max' tyres would cool. He's well within his rights to do that, but the stewards deemed he was too aggressive which put it into erratic territory.

I'm fairly sure the safe braking for the Red Bull meant the huge pass that Max did at the time was purely a show to get the stewards on side and it worked a treat.
