@Billy-Tell @game_film he's a phenomenal player. But the reality is if you select him, you have to compromise elsewhere in your loose forward trio.
You're welcome to your opinion, and I think Ardie is awesome, but would he be the best 8 in world rugby?
Edit: for me it's a bit like recognizing BB's incredible physical talents, but that he may not be the best 10 while being one of the best rugby players
As Iâve already posted Iâd probably have him at 7. But ask fans from elsewhere which AB they could have and youâll mostly get one of 2 replies: savea or r ioane. Maybe a few for Jordan, a few for whitelock and a few for b Barrett. You wonât get papalii, akira, cane or frizzell.
Sami needs to perform against England at twickenham not Argentina in Hamilton to start getting some recognition.
Papalii, A Ioane and Frizz aren't even confirmed 1st choice starters for us, let alone a world XV. Go back not too far and every team would want a Whitelock, Retallick, Smith, BB before Savea. He's not a patch on our great loosies i.e. Mccaw, Jones, Zinzan etc, and also not a great role player like a Kaino or Collins. I also don't think he's that influential in games. He's a great Savea, and maybe at 7 with some more grunt at 6 and 8 he would be a more influential player, as he certainly has some unique ability. To me in the ABs he looks like a standout in a losing team, but I'm not totally convinced that he's not a part of the reason it's a losing team.

At this stage, Ardieâs best position for ABâs is 8. Otherwise Cane goes to the bench and itâs unlike to happen under Foster. Ardieâs ball skills are top notch, ball in hand great, can get over the ball, defensively heâs adequate.
As long as we can rotate a big 6 like Frizell/Barrett in versus the Boks/England & bring Akira on for Wallabies etc our back row mix is solid for RWC.
Given itâs the Wallabies - Cane, Sotutu & Akira is going to work really well. Iâm looking forward to seeing them operate. Iâd bring Papaliâi on a lot earlier to give Cane a breather, maybe even at 50min mark depending on how weâre tracking.

A minute's silence for Willie I would think.
That will probably happen at the RWC 7s. Armbands for the tournament I would think.

@Daffy-Jaffy Strong attention to detail in the coaching group when one of the players had to tell them that Marvel Stadium has a roof.......

I am just imagining the forward thinking how the fuck do the coaches not know it has a roof as they start to plan for wet weather rugby. Fuck me.

Is this game on a Thursday?? I might be wrong but the last midweek test against Aussie I can recall was Jeff Wilson vs Gregan. Pretty sure that was midweek.

I don't think it will sell out but if they can get a crowd of over 50k that would be a good result.
Rugby Australia are forecasting an attendance of over 50,000 for just the sixth time in Wallabiesâ Tests at the venue, dating back to 2000. -

So ... when is the team named for a Thursday game?
Normally Thursday for Saturday, so presumably Tuesday for Thursday?
Prediction: largely unchanged XV (except for forced loose forward changes) and minor tweaks on the bench

I would think tomorrow but the BF RWC Squad is being named tomorrow on a YouTube channel and thereâs no mention of the ABs announcement

Wallabies are named on Tuesday. I would expect the same for ABs.
