Well, I just found out today we lost our aura in 1992 when league took over:

Once we lost the aura, how come we keep losing it? Seem to lose it regularly, so, does it sneak back when no one is looking/playing?

Interesting, I wonder if we can find an example of us losing aura before the 1992 link I posted above?

I would disagree and say the sacking shows aura is very much alive

Those terrible decisions resulted in something like a 20-point swing. They cost the All Blacks the Grand Slam. They cost Scott Robertson his job. They cost the All Blacks their aura. And it was all so avoidable.
