Who are we fancying for top try scorer?

Im thinking Telea or Jordan or Penaud.

South AfricanScottish gun Duhan Van Der Merwe is a good shout. 20 in 31 tests so far.

Scottish pool might be a bit tough to have a top try scorer come out of it.

Stan is claiming they're broadcasting in 4K UHD which is 2160p IIRC?

@Nepia yep that's 2160. Hopefully will be at 50fps too.

I assume it will be, it's generally 50fps for the rugby on Stan.

I'm fucking glad Kayo don't have it, they'd probably run it at 720p.

@Nepia Sometimes rugby is rebroadcast at 50fps, but is shot at 25fps (Super Rugby). Hopefully this will be genuine high frame rate.

                What's all this about then?

(livestream on Stuff starts at 5.45am, kickoff at 7.15am)

... this looks like actual coverage of the game, but... how have I not heard about this before? Is it just because I'm a hermit, or... am I misinterpreting this?

                Edit:

A dedicated multimedia hub located on Stuff features 12 streamed games, including live coverage of the opening match between the All Blacks and France, two quarterfinals, a semifinal and the RWC final, ...

... and all the AB pool matches delayed.
But - they seem to be keeping it remarkably quiet - presumably as part of the deal with Sky.

I must I am very impressed with Stan’s rugby options. The back catalogue of content is great, can’t really recall an error or problem with the steaming function or the app itself.

Yeah, I think I've had maybe two errors, contrast that with Kayo which is freaking terrible. I don't think I've watched a Warriors match that hasn't dropped down to 480p at some time, glitched, bounced back a few seconds etc.

Watching the weekend preview on Stan here in Oz

Michael Hooper is part of the broadcast team.

He’s just a really fucken good guy, and was an absolute warrior for the Wallabies.

France vs Italy in the final pool game. If France are already the top qualifiers they may not want to play their top team in the final pool game.

Even Fozzie's flops should be able to escape this pool, surely?

I don’t see Namibia or Uruguay causing the ABs many problems, but if they play as poorly against Italy as they have done in the last two games then they could plummet out of the tournament at the end of pool play.
