FT: Wallaroos 0 - 50 Black Ferns
Well, without being perfect, with a rusty first 20 minutes, and some mistakes to iron out, the Black Ferns had a very easy game against a very poor Aussie team. Both teams have newbies, so that can't be an excuse.
I hope the Canadians bring their 'A' game on 9 July; if not, it will be way too easy for the Black Ferns to win the Pacific Fours title.

I haven't read the comments yet but I really like the starting loose forward trio. They complement each other.
Marino-Tauhinu needs to work on her passing. Too many loopy passes. You appreciate how good Waaka is in the midfield as du Plessis was exposed on defence in the 1st half. Better in the 2nd half. Kelly showed some class on debut.

Australian rugby is fucked. Men's. Women's. All of it.
We will need an actual disaster of some kind to implement any kind of meaningful change. We aren't at the bottom yet, depressingly.
That Kiwi 10 who plays for us now isn't missed in NZ (he said, diplomatically)

Well have to say after watching opening 20 mins, I said to Mrs I would stick to halftime, but ended uo kind of glued until the end. Fisrt 20 the BFs looked like a team that was playing first game together for a long time, a bit sloppy etc, than as game prgresses they really started to click. There are genuinely some good rugby players among that lot, obviously thought DeMant looked the good again as dod Holmes, and Brunt at 12 was bloody good, her late footwork just before making contact is pretty good to see. Anyway I thought the 9 could do a bit of work on her skills etc, but really just looking for things that needed work. like the 8 picking up at back of scrum was a bit ropey. Pretty pleased with all the forwards too.
One thing I did find it was bloody hard to watch as quite a few games from Aus this year I have found the picture quality poor, pretty jumpy almost like bad internet, which I not watching it on! -
