@Rembrandt said in Alternative needed from the absolute crap of stuff.co.nz: Love how they changed the framing too. When they thought it was a Republican at fault it was 'mocking wheelchair user' now that its a Democrat she's just calling him 'hot wheels'..kinda sounds like a compliment. Stuff will always be complete dogshit for news Makes for a fun thread on here though

When they thought it was a Republican at fault it was 'mocking wheelchair user' now that its a Democrat she's just calling him 'hot wheels'. umm "Texas congresswoman Jasmine Crockett mocked her state’s governor during a weekend appearance, referring to Greg Abbott — who uses a wheelchair — as “governor Hot Wheels” It's literally the fifth word in the article.

Classic Stuff, and appropriate for the thread title. Behind a paywall (or at least a 'register' wall). Also, they strongly argued this was an 'advertisement' not an article, so the BSA shouldn't have jurisdiction.

@MN5 said in Alternative needed from the absolute crap of stuff.co.nz: She crashed into several parked cars, "including a Tesla" how is the Tesla more relevant than the others ? because it should have used it's knightrider-like abilities to avoid being crashed by other cars even when it is parked, perhaps?

@Nepia said in Alternative needed from the absolute crap of stuff.co.nz: When did Stuff start requiring a log in to view their site? Yeah that's fucking annoying. Now I really am looking for an alternative.

You can ignore it can't you? Unless I am missing something, no. You can click into the stories and it shows you some of the article then says to log in to view the rest. It used to be a small number of articles it did that to, now it's seems like it's all of them .
