Robertson needs to go, he clearly can't instill any mental fortitude. Pathetic second halves
For who?
Saint Vern Cotter

I'd fucking love someone with his experience and knowledge to run a slide-rule over this team and the coaching set-up. His insight would be independent and invaluable.

The Emperor? Naked.
I think we are experiencing the end result of the compound interest from previous poor decision making at executive level, sliding doors moments on the field (Lions test 2 and 3), I.P exports, player diaspora, Aura erosion and a lack of ruthlessness within the playing and coaching group.
You used to lose your job or lose your jersey when your performance wasnt up to scratch in Allblack rugby.
Its a hippie commune now.
I wouldnt be surprised to see Ratima and Sititi on the back seats of the bus.
There are no nasty bastards or ruthless undercurrent in the team any more. I know I sound like a dinosaur, but we are now a brand to be milked as opposed to the high performance killing machine of old.
We need the odd lad smoking fags on a balcony, throwing the odd punch, and dare I say it we too in the public need to be spitting at racehorses again.
@Jet The brand being milked by careerists and chancers is exactly what we are seeing. This is flimflam rugby. There is zero substance to it.
-
This might sound silly, but are we fit enough? Are we overplaying our hand physically in the first 60 mins.

Maybe the lack of control means we burn too much energy early. Razor isn't confident with his bench either

It's been confirmed - branding outweighs substance.

@Jet could not agree with this more. I knew as soon as that video came out of Savea crying because he gets to play for Moana Pacifica that we were screwed

Savea needs to be cut completely. I wouldn't even have him in the 23 anymore. Worst AB forward on the field.

Nor am I!
ALB was shit. Jacobson is a jobber at this level. Aumua has been crap. Ofa hasn't done much and got risolled.Williams added today. But guys who have come on and added something have been few and far between.

Savea and Beaudy are two of our biggest onfield problems to solve and have been for years.
World beaters on YouTube, panel beaters in the flesh.
We have been building our cake around their "icing and sprinkles" instead of the other way round.
-
The ABs need to go fresh and young and commit to it now

He's got the ABs playing pretty good rugby for 40-60 minutes. I wouldn't say Foster had the team looking this good for those periods
Have a look at the last 3 games of the RWC and tell me we haven't gone backwards and Robertson has this team looking better for longer periods.
You can thank the Wallaby coach for that. It seemed like a dumb move at the time to not keep him in AB rugby

Deliberate decision to go with an (almost) completely fresh coaching set-up, wasn't it? Or did Robertson not want Schmidt?

I wonder if they would be better suited to shoring up the the subs.

I think it was the other way round. That is how it was portrayed in 2022.
Schmidt would have been an excellent choice to formally take over the reins this year after informally taking them from Fozzie for the last 18 months.
I can see why the clamour for Razor though and probably thought he owed him one after the fox u turn in Aug 2022

Schmidt didn’t want to work with Razor is what I heard.

Aumua might be the biggest disappointment in supposed talent of the last five years.
His clean work was fucking atrocious, and his running game seems to have disappeared . And then there is the set piece - or more correctly lack of set piece.

I agree with this.
5-6 senior players have been part of the leadership problem for 5 or so years. But still get picked every week.
Ratima, Sititi, Williams have shown that if you give the talent the chance it will take it.

@Tim said in All Blacks vs Wallabies I:
Narawa must be wondering what he did wrong.
Speaking of ineffective cleans, Reece may be a live wire but he is a little body and cleans like one. We were in deep shit every time he was forced to clean.
See also Will Jordan on this.

They need to give Bell a chance at hooker.
