@Canes4life Sititi will be the AB number 8 for a long time, Blackadder the 6 and Savea the 7.

Clark outstanding in attack, defense, and positional play.. 100% better than his former self.
Jordan really is exceptional. You just take for granted that the Aussies kicking out of hand never hit the grass.
Pat. T, Aumua, and Tosi brought sting to the defense in the final 20. That is a big lump of flesh to bring on. Pat. T's leadership was noticeable. Did someone convince him he was playing for the Blues?
F&#K off naysayers! I'm happy tonight.

Shittings! Forgot about Williams!. Pat.T, Williams, Aumua, and Tosi off the bench have so much potential!

Also: well done to Sam Cane. Not many blokes take a broken neck as anything other than a sign to retire.

Racking up the ton is to be praised.

            Very soft sentimental selections today.
            Also bring back rucking

              Great call.

The legend certainly grew tonight that’s for sure, what with him not playing despite being 100% fit.

TV camera cuts to the Wellington fans with a sign saying "Beaudy is a 10 for us".

Jeff Wilson chimes in "he has had a great first half".

That's where NZ Rugby is at.

Pats on the back regardless of standards and silver centurion caps for all as long as your knees hold up.

He's a cheerleader and bootlicker at best. Such an inane Rugby pundit. Honestly, I don't know why Sky NZ subscribers ain't in open revolt about how poor and brainless their coverage of Rugby has become.

The ABs won, and probably would have won without those couple of lapses by the Wallabies, however I think this AB team is papering over cracks, and running out of glue.

                  1. Your scrum got slapped around by a guy on one leg. I think perhaps you're missing a big grunter with technical nous in your second row.

                  2. I thought - besides Sititi's tearing runs - your backrow got outplayed. Savea did a couple of nice things but you surely can't keep Cane on.

                  3. Your defensive lineout is good. Attacking lineout generally OK but if the 10th ranked team is picking you off, the top 6N sides are going to be licking their lips.

                  4. This helter-skelter bullshit in general play isn't going to cut it against top opponents with patience and cohesion. There aren't many guys in the starting 8 who are rolling up their sleeves and smashing blokes TBH. I don't think the ABs were dominant in contact as many times as the scoreline might otherwise suggest.

I think Razor needs to be a bit honest with himself and his coaching panel and get these blokes to knuckle down or fuck off.

                  Agree with all of this.

I am really concerned about the EOYT particularly with your 4th point in mind.

Think about those final 38 or so phases against Ireland in the RWC that ended the game.

This iteration of the Allblacks concedes a try or gets a bloke carded after 4 or 5 of those phases.

We are all fur coat and no knickers.

We dont have bread and butter players like Kaino, or Nonu who we can just drop it off to, to make a guaranteed 4 yards and then recycle and go again. And even if we did have those players we dont have a pragmatist in the ten shirt who wont just kick it away at the first sight of pressure.

Similarly we dont have Kainos or Brad Thorns or Mealamus who dont take a backward step in defence.

Ardie for example seems to always want a judo match on D.

Remember when Read used to just bend at the hips and empty people in the midriff. Ardie wants to have a cuddle and a wrestle. For all his leg drive exploits too, I yearn for a Harry Wilson or Vermuelen type who winds up for a big carry and just plays with a bit of spite.

We lack starch on both sides of the ball, and that gets you nowhere against England Ireland and France away from home.

I dunno. We missed the boot at many times today. Not ALB's fault Dmac and BB are below standard in that department, but still.

Loosies have been talked about to death. For me, Jacobson and Blackadder are placeholders and squad cover at best, time for one of them to make way for a big ball player.

They're really competing against each other IMO, for what it is worth I think LJ covers more positions to an ok level. But neither are gamebreakers.

My thoughts exactly, it’s gotta be one or the other, not both

I was thinking LJ is a lot like Cane, just quicker. Hope he has better hands.

A bit of ball carrying oomph wouldn’t go amiss either.

It irks me when guys 1.88-1.9m and about 110kg have as much impact as a fly on a windscreen.

We need a loosie version of Tosi from the bench. Comfortable with ball running and a presence at the breakdown

I’m amazed the Blues fans haven’t mentioned Akira Ioane this year

Referee has been absolutely shit. Defending team only had to look at the ball and he blew a pen against the attackers. He missed so many knock ons, his advantages were all over the place and he even fucked the TMO call when his assistant ref advised him it should have been a penalty against ABs as Taylor clearly played the ball on the ground.

That's his MO. He was the ref when Arg beat the ABs in Chch where none of the Pumas players needed to support their own weight to win a penalty at the breakdown. Consistent in this game but very different to most other refs.

Just watching now. 9 minutes in, Cane too slow on the fringes, Australia carve up the middle.

15 minutes, great try by the ABa. Sititi starts it, ALB shows some speed and laid the ball onto Reeve

I think Razor needs to be a bit honest with himself and his coaching panel and get these blokes to knuckle down or fuck off.

                                      1000% this.

And yet..... when he does this with certain players he is accused of provincial bias.......

                                      @Old-Samurai-Jack

It seems obvious already that the players who are going thrive most in Robertson's All Blacks environment are those who work hardest.

Which makes it all the more baffling and frustrating that some selections are based on reputations from three or four years ago.

Personally, I'm not worried of provincial bias, more out of date reputations and ultimately bad selections.

Jeff Wilson chimes in "he has had a great first half".

He's a cheerleader and bootlicker at best. Such an inane Rugby pundit. Honestly, I don't know why Sky NZ subscribers ain't in open revolt about how poor and brainless their coverage of Rugby has become.

We should probably let him establish himself into the team first
