Trying to find the correct amount or proterin to take daily for growth and there is a wealth of conflicting views on the net.  Anywhere between 1.5 - 2.2 grams per kilos bodyweight to over 350g per day!  That is alot of tuna.  I have also found that there is a limit to how much protein your body will process each day for growth and the rest gets shat out.  interested to find what works for fellow TSFers.  How much proterin should you be taking for growth?

I usually get in a "normal" dietary intake plus about 50g in powders RB. No idea how much it works out total but I'm using the supplements more for stopping the overeating than putting on the muscle.

        Gday Red beard.<br />
Have got a bit of info off EAS  (top supplement brand) - they recommend at least 2.2 gm protein/ pound of body weight each day.  But to gain weight and muscle size, one could eat to the bodyweight they would like to reach (within reason).  Make sure to have protein in all six meals and you should have no worries with overdosing.  Make sure you get a good quality protein into you straight after your weights sessions.  Im sure your local gym would sell some EAS products. I would recommend the Myoplex delux or Myoplex sport - great for hard gainers.

Oh yeah - standard 2000 calorie diet is supposed to contain about 50g of protein per day. Given you want to burn extra energy to make muscle, I say go for at least 75g per day.

Just looking at your picture.  How long ago did Matt Dunning play for COBRAS?
