    @canefan cheers, makes sense now.
    Son Mitch = Great
Dad Mitch = Cockwomble who didn't pick CC for the 2003 RWC

some reason i was assuming Bad Mitch was Satnav (who i know the fern loves very much)

I love the interview where Son Mitch said he was furious and refused to speak to Dad Mitch after he left CC out of the squad. Great that he even copped it from his own son for that.

        99 not out. Bugger !

Nice recovery from a bad position though. A more than defendable total

Just on the confusing Mitch situation, Santner is THE greatest one that's ever lived after his efforts in the test series in India.

You could combine Starc, Johnson and Marsh across the ditch and they wouldn't be close.

Rizwan is in all sorts of trouble against O'Rourke, starting to fear for his safety.

Sears reaping the rewards, both Salman and Rizwan hole out. This is a real hiding so far, Pakistan will be wishing this was the last ODI.

Yeah they gave the BCs a bit of a scare last time out but this is a hiding, they will be lucky to get 100

Look he's a great player, but I can't be alone in thinking Caleb Clarke was a bit raw still in '03?

Abbas finding out about the highs and lows of cricket at this level.

What a contrast from a few days ago.

Not a huge amount of batting in the shed. Important partnership !

In other Black Caps news. South African white ball coach Rob Walter has resigned. Citing the travel stress of having to go between NZ and South Africa.

Stead's contract is up in June. Potentially a ready made replacement for the white ball teams. Hos record was alright, however he barely had his best team apart from major tournaments when South Africa quite well.

Couple of statistical oddities from last nights win
Hay's 99* is the first from a Black Cap in an ODI since Bruce Edgars waaay back in 1981

And i wonder how often would all 10 wickets fall caught behind the wicket in an ODI the way Pakistan's did last night?

                              Hay now has a 49 and a 99 in only 4 innings.

I’m amazed Edgar scored quick enough to even get to 99 after 50 overs

Hay's 99* is the first from a Black Cap in an ODI since Bruce Edgars waaay back in 1981

And i wonder how often would all 10 wickets fall caught behind the wicket in an ODI the way Pakistan's did last night?

I’m amazed Edgar scored quick enough to even get to 99 after 50 overs

There was a stat the other day highlighting how Good Mitch has the most ODI runs after 50 matches
in 5th place was ole Brucie

It wasn't necessarily a dig, Edgar came and spoke to us at school once, awesome bloke. I loved the fact a guy from Wellington played for NZ and took the time to see us kids.

Different times but as as Jeff Thomson apparently sledged him once he would "never die of a stroke" !

Strike rate of 49 in ODIs.

I'm also REALLY surprised KW, Taylor and Crowe aren't on that list.

                                      Crowe had scored 1413 runs @ 33
                                      Kane had scored 1409 runs @ 36
                                      Roscoe scored 1330 runs @36

so neither of them were great starters early in their ODI careers.
all turned out pretty handy though i suppose.

                                        Mitchell making a claim though

Mitchell's run total is very impressive given he isn't guaranteed to get enough time at the crease to build an innings.
