All that defending is telling, poor decisions and execution.

Shit Whaanga has put on some good size. Looking a fair bit bigger than last season. Great turnover

Tackle, looked like no arms by Evans...dumb dumb dumb play by us.

Had no ball all night, Otago have had.great continuity yet we kick it away, over and over

Pretty much every player from Otago has played well. I honestly can’t remember a time where I’ve seen this team just grind a team down and then blow them out at the end of the game.

Only concern is the defensive breakdown. Have been killed there

Renton looks sharp, certainly more decisive than Nock, but we have just been so poor with our decision making, disipline and again, poor handling

Otago.too good, much smarter and disciplined.

@ACT-Crusader said in Otago v Northland:

    Pledger’s pass is pretty swift

He is reminding me of a young Aaron Smith, he gets feet into good position and just gets ball from the ground to his target real quick.
I was wondering why Hastie was going to Force, I think I can see why .
He will be third halfback behind Fakatava and Pledger. I honestly would almost think lennox would actually be ahead of him too almost.

Great bonus point win. Good way to end a Friday. Lots of positives to take from that, guys like Te Hiwi and Timu having good games and Whaanga coming on and showing the promise we’ve been waiting for. Forwards solid and reliable again across the board.

Big challenge against the Naki next week, should be a belter.

Those two botched attacking lineouts by Northland prevented any chance of a comeback. Very few chances otherwise.

    Otago's defence was very good.
