Yet he was the best lock in the country when the decision was made. He had surpassed Retallick and Whitelock as the first choice lock in the 2023 season. 2024 he is selected as captain.
Sure, question some of the decision making on the field, but let’s not rewrite history about where his play was when the decision was actually made.

Our backline were dreadful and Holland is a dud coach. I mean he was ordinary as the Canes coach.
Discipline also shocking.

@LagerLout short memories here. I can remember a couple of stinkers against Argentina in NZ that would trump this one. This Argentina side is a better one than the ones that beat NZ in NZ.
NZ weren’t good enough against what is, on their day, a very good Argentina team.

Why isn’t it Savea? Some of our best performances under Razor have been when Ardie’s been skip.
The rot in this team has been around for a while and Savea is part of it. Someone relatively new would be nice
Savea is the obvious choice. He’s got the backing of most of the players, not sure Barrett does as captain tbh.

He’s been in the leadership group for 8-9 years. He frequently finishes the match as captain. He clearly doesn’t make much of a difference. Different voices are needed ASAP. The old heads are not going to do it

Hope Ratima, Hotham and Roigard are back soon or with another injury we are in real poo at 9

Yeah I thought the same , at the time we thought he was our only quality lock , then vaii put his hand up not long after that
