I don't care anymore. Two years of the media blowing Razor, culminating in our worst loss ever. No discernible progress and a seeming drop in our core skills. The problem with the team is much like NZ itself, woke and insular with a distinct lack of brainpower and mongrel in the coaching group, players and even media. It's a giant PR exercise with everyone sucking each other off.
I felt a bit like this after 2007…..then the ABs were good enough to win a couple of WCs in a row which helped matters. Foster did his darndest in 2023, let’s see how the much maligned Razor goes in 2027 ( given its 100% guaranteed he’ll be there )

And to make things worse, the self-appointed hard men and the self-appointed funny men of the internet don't like some of us saying what we think on here.
Peace and love, everyone. Enjoy Bledisloe week and see you on the other side.
I must have called a thousand tiiimes

Some good insights from Eddie Jones and Ewan McKenzie on where we are going wrong.
Interesting analysis from people who dont have skin in the NZ game.
"Barrett seems loathe to take the ball as a first receiver".
"the ball out the back in phase play is going to static players".
Holy fuck. Apparently I should be an international coach since I keep pointing out this shit.
Not the only thing you have in common with Eddie.......

Anyone seen the latest Facebook post on the ABs page of savea talking about Kolisi? Bit too much love thy neighbour. Vomit inducing
Nothing against ardie but I personally don’t like him saying stuff like , end of the day it’s just a game , after a loss .
Maybe I’m a grumpy old dinosaur but That’s not the attitude our legacy was built on.
Actually, it IS the attitude our legacy was built on.
It's been common practice for AB coaches, captains and players to form close, friendships during series or tours - particularly true of NZ/SA rugby. Sam Cane stayed with a a number of Boks after he hurt his neck. Goes way back to 1928.
Give me that legacy of post-match camaraderie rather than the sort of stuff we saw from Sexton & co. Keep that sort of shit in soccer - it has no place in Rugby
I was actually referring to him saying end of the day it’s just a game about the World Cup final.

@Frank My feelings are similar.
I'll catch up with the highlights of the Bledisloe Cup game afterward, but I am not going to waste any real time or energy with the All Blacks this week. I feel utterly betrayed by the pathetic ragbag they've become. They are All Blacks in name only as far as I'm concerned.
I'd obviously still prefer the ABs to win, but I won't be too bothered if we lose the Eden Park record or even the Bledisloe Cup. It will hasten the demise of those clearly not up to the job in terms of brains and ruthlessness.
Our Captain, First Five, Head Coach, his Assistants and our CEO all need to go and the sooner the better.
As funny as that was , mario was a Melbourne supporter taking the piss

In a world where the All Blacks lose the Bledisloe Cup, I find it hard to see how Robertson's 'attack' coaches would survive, let alone Robertson himself. So I pose two questions:
- If Hansen & Holland were fired, who would fill those roles?
- If the whole coaching staff was hired, what would the new coaching setup look like?
-
@frugby I think we’ll see coaching changes at some point regardless of what happens with the next two matches unless there’s a dramatic turnaround in results and performance. But if they lose the Bledisloe Cup and leak a significant amount of points again, the scrutiny won’t stop with the attack coaches.

our defence worries me more and has for some time. France B nearly cracked 30 against us. You saw what Argentina and SA did to us. We've been shipping easy points for some time.

@frugby
Good points
Who is qualified ready able and available??
It would mean a payout of the released and probably a buy out of the incomings current contract ( Unless currently NZRU contracted) could be very expensive.Should we just hold out for Joe Schmitt be free game and offer him the reins completely - with his own staff and any time he needs personally for his son etc.

Come what may it would seem the smart thing to do to approach Schmidt with a view to taking over in 2028 and give him free reign. Maybe thats something Kirk could be working on in the background without making it public and undermining Razor.. by that I'm not saying an official approach at all - an off the record conversation between both men where Joe is sounded out for his interest in the role. I would assume it is his dream job.
It seems like the best ploy in the meantime would be to muddle along with razor and if things really go south employ an interim until the RWC 2027. Then give Schmidt a clean slate in 28.

Where’s Rangi?
-
@ACT-Crusader just getting his feet under the desk as Yokohama coach.
I’d be investigating Tyler Bleyendaal. Switched on guy, just gone back to Leinster a year ago.
-
I would love to see Jamie Joseph in if only to bring some bloody mongrel back.
We are so passive now and that’s not what the black jersey is about. -
@ACT-Crusader probably be next CEO of NZR anything possible

An interesting article by a idiot Mark Reason in stuff,But it is scary when I agree with a lot of what he said.
some quotes
"But on September 13, 2025, in the nation’s capital, half the All Blacks just gave up. And yes, the apparent thunder of a jet engine booming across the nation is not the sound of a 747 doing a fly past over the Cake Tin or Westpac or Sky Stadium or whatever the hell the ground is called now, it’s the sound of Colin Meads turning in his grave at 1000 revolutions a minute.""Brodie McAllister was walking. Quinn Tupaea was walking. Ardie Savea was walking. Actually walking might be a bit of an exaggeration. They looked like they had given up. And a darkness descended on the land."
"But with the exception of Tamaiti Williams, who was beyond noble in his striving, none of the subs had much idea. Was Fabian Holland playing lock or blindside. Who knew? Certainly not Holland who shot up out of the defensive line to allow RG Snyman, not exactly the fastest human on the planet, to run 20 metres to score untouched.
"And what about Ruben Love, an odd selection given how much cover the starting team had at 10 and 15?
So, Love comes on and has to play on the wing. A fish out of water, Love went down the gurgler, ball watching when South Africa cross kicked to his wing. Pieter Steph du Toit plucked the ball from the air and put in Kwagga Smith for a try."
its shows what a mess we are in if I am starting to agree with some of what Mark Idiot Reason is writing.https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/360830885/mark-reason-ugly-truths-about-all-blacks-woes

Mark Reason should not be allowed to mention Colin Mead's name, let alone tell us what his opinion would be.
And what the hell does 'beyond noble' mean?

well nobility should not have to tackle it would be beneath them, and I thought Tamaiti went beyond those requirements

Is that why Ardie was walking and not bothering to tackle in the last 20min it was beneath him, that sounds about right.
