@reprobate last season was enough for me for DMac. He was at his erratic best, crabbing across field and putting pressure on our outsides. Plus he also had kicking issues. Yes Barrett has been poor this year but I think DMac is at best a 15 back up.
DMac is fine where he currently is - the 10/15 backup on the bench.
BB needs to be jettisoned completely, and we need to identify a specialist 10 (or two) to run the team.

What is it that these youngsters say these days, Richie Mo’unga appears to be living rent free in a few of the Ferners heads….
Less about RM and more about Robertson's apparent obsession with him stopping younger talent being developed.
As things stand, we'll have a 35 & 36yr old at 10 for RWC2027 with bugger-all in the cupboard after that.
He clearly doesn't seem himself as a multi term coach based on his talent development strategy, at least where 10 is concerned

I'd say, if Mo'unga was available right now, there is absolutely no way Robertson would be playing Barrett ahead of him at 10.
And neither would I.
I'd have BB on the bench, comin on with 10 to 20 to go, if you needed to make something happen.
In fact, never liked Barrett as a starter. Comin on late with some players starting to tire, perfect.Indeed, that is what he is best suited to do, come off the bench as an impact player to make things happen. He is not built to manage a game starting at 10.

what, the bloke that the coach keeps banging on about? And refuses to play other 10s? Yeah, rent free buddy, good call.

If the "new era" is "losing at Eden Park" then absolutely.
Call me magnanimous all you like but I don't mind if Joe Schmidt loses at Eden Park this weekend.
